    you wont' get the cashback from quidco on an iphone i'm afraid...
    What's that based on?

    mobiles.co.uk: £60 for a new iPhone 3GS bought on O2, Orange, or Vodafone (on a Pay Monthly contract);

    Go Mobile: £65 for a confirmed contract phone sale, including the Apple iPhone on an Orange contract;

    Tesco: £30 for an approved mobile contract.
    Started comping for 2012. Won: iPad 2 - thanks SueMaggie; 10,000 Tesco Clubcard Points - thanks Maybe1; HABA Terra Kids Construction Set - thanks purplevamp.:beer:

    Look at the bottom of the Orange offer, it says cashback is not offered on iphones.

    Also, if you don't have an iphone tariff you can't use all the features of the phone, like free 3g/wi-fi, etc... You may only be able to call and text on your tariff and get charged a fortune for data.

    I'm always right......... I'm a woman!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Seriously though, I was nearly taken in by that too. It's hard to notice unless you know it's there. I'm unsure if it was done like that on purpose...

    That's going direct through Orange though isn't it? Rather than going through one of the other sites mentioned.
  • Hi Guys,

    Just as an update on this...

    I got a 32GB Refurb 3GS iPhone in black yesterday from O2 retentions.

    18 month contract (600mins, 500texts, unlimited data/WiFi), 35 quid per month.

    No upfront cost for the phone.

    I'd been on O2 simplicity 15 quid per month for about 6 months (not high usage, given I never exceeded what I got for 15 quid a month).

    Given my usage will fall within the 600mins/500texts, that makes the deal very favourable for me:

    (Total 18 month outlay) (what i'd pay anyway) (net iPhone cost)
    i.e. 630 (18x35) - (18 x 15) 270 = 360

    ...for a 32GB 3GS.

    Happy with that.

    Oh, and they're 14 day returns that are refurbished by Apple, so to all intents and purposes are brand new. Cheers for the heads up!

    The OP wants to BUY the iphone and use a P&G sim.

    You can buy it on the apple online store through quidco and you will get cashback. about £30

    I'm going to wait on the next iphone to see what its like before comitting to anything.

    How does this compare to T-mobile's free pay and go sim, top up £10 a month for free texts and internet? http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/free-pay-as-you-go-sim-cards/

    Am I right in thinking the O2 one is £15 a month?

    Thanks,
