Yes, you need to confirm the details for last year and renew for the following year. It's only a phone call, I've never had to send any paperwork back.0 -
Hi there, i got a letter telling me i had been overpaid by £800 ish as i had earnt £1500 more that year than i said i would. now the year before i had earnt more than ever as i recieved a large bonus at work. when i told the tax credit people this they asked if i would recieve this kind of bonus again to which i said no, they then advised me to go on the figure from the year before. So after taking their advice i now owe them money. Anyway the letter said they would drop my payments this year and next year and so on until the debt had been paid back, unless i was no longer entitled in which case they wanted a one off lump sum within 30 days. So i rang them, and asked for them to stop my payments until it was paid back as i was concerned when my son started nursery school and then school the year later (as they only intended to take about £10 a month) i would no longer be entiltled and would have to give them a lump sum, which i dont have. 2 weeks later i heard nothing and rang them again, i was told that i should have heard something within 2 weeks as that is the time limit and they would highlight the situation, another 3 weeks have past and i have still heard nothing but have also had a payment. i have tried now for 4 days to ring them and can never get through, if i am lucky enough to be told i will be put through to an advisor i was then on hold for over an hour before my phone battery finally died. Has anyone else had this problem, i have tried to sort it and tried to get them to stop paying me and they still are, does this mean it is my fault or theirs. there is no way i will be able to pay back a lump sum!!!!0

if all you are wanting to do is request they recover your overpayment at a higher rate then i would recommend waiting a couple of days till the rush to complete the renewals has passed then give them a call, it should start to become easier to get through later in the week.0 -
I just tried that number at 19:51 and its saying our offices are now closed. We are open 8am to 8pm. Muppets:mad:
Just got through on this number first time! Thank you.
Been trying for days to get through on other number. What bloody annoys me is that you sit listenening for 2 and half minutes, then it says, please try later. goodbye.
We get charged for that call every time!!!!0 -
Morning all
I have been trying for 3 days (starting at 8am on the dot!) to get through on the phone to change my bank details. It lets me get as far as choosing all the options and says you are being put through to an advisor, but then tells me all lines are busy and to phone back later.
Does anyone have another number or can suggest a more appropriate time to call them?
I can't close my joint account until i have changed my details to my single named account.
Thanks0 -
I still cant get through either
i need to end my single claim and set up a joint claim! ...its really bugging me now as if i cant get through to them then i will not get my payment on friday0 -
Read my previous post in this thread - DO NOT PRESS ANY OF THE OPTIONS and you will get through.0
