I thought that i would post the alternative number for tax credit helpline/renewals as it is really busy today with everyone leaving it until final days to renew.
Ring 01355-359 007
i got through first time as opposed to continually being slung out the system.
It is the " From outside the UK" alternative number and is a Scotland number.0 -

Which is why it is stupid to use these numbers that get put on the internet.
Especially internal numbers - they are internal numbers for a reason.0 -
After waiting since April I finally recieved a letter yesterday saying my backdated tax credits were paid into my account on 20th July and my weekly payment would start on Monday 26th July.
Surprise surprise, theres nothing gone in my account. I have checked the letter and they have the right bank details, so another c*ck up.
Have been trying to phone all day but they're not even taking calls now. It says ring back after 31st July.
So after all this time it still not sorted competently. And I sound surprised lol.
So if anyone has a number they're actually answering I would be grateful. Thanks0 -
the helpline will be the same all this weekend due to the 31st being the deadline for tax credit renewals, you will find it easier to get through on monday. not a lot of other options really.0

I think you will just have to wait unti Monday0
