Mine will happily make his own tea as he drinks it constantly.
Trouble is he will wait till I am cooking then nearly cause an accident barging past me to get to the kettle. The idea of waiting for five minutes seems to be a foreign concept to him!
Thank you so much to everyone that voted.:T :A
Have been out with DH to look for a new t.v. as we are giving our old one to DD. After a lot of discussion we finally got a nice LCD one and saved £250 so very pleased. Talked DH into it as we should be getting a refund from the self storage place which will pay for most of it.
Did some shopping and bought myself flowers and made a home made curry for tea. I had a low carb salad and feel very virtuous!

Typed a big long post earlier today and lost it so I took myself off to indulge in 3hrs 50 mins of my favourite man (my avi, if you need a clue) in the BBC drama Burn Up. Oooh, I could eat that man up without the need for chips on the side!
Snowy if ever you are up for a job with bum surgeons again the word is spelt DIARRHOEA! :rotfl: I don't believe for one minute that you were spouting the verbal kind though - I love your posts. You always put a smile on my face.
Candygirl I'm glad you are glad that you are going to be a nana IYSWIM. I think we are pretty much the same age (well maybe 5 yrs give - I won't take cos I'm sure I'm older than you) but I have warned my DS and DD that they had better NOT make me a granny before they are at least 28 each! That's not selfish btw - I have told them that they should get out there and experience the world before they decide to settle down.
troo I tried reading your post earlier today a few times but couldn't make up my mind what Mr Troo wanted of you. I don't mean to be thick (so sorry if I am) but is he resenting you doing the things that are important to you? I only ask because that's a pretty big difference in opinion if he does. A nice night out/in with a bottle of wine and a great deal of chat would be the order of the day in my book.
elona I added my vote earlier today (I mentioned it in the post that is floating around in the ether).
jayward hope you enjoyed your lazy day. You certainly deserved it.
Someone mentioned scones earlier. If you want to taste the most fantasic, lightest, most delicious scones that have ever, ever, ever existed, get yourselves over to the Ardbeg Distillery in Ardbeg, Isle of Islay. I do *not* know what the woman who makes them does but I swear they are the lightest, tastiest, most fantastic scones I have ever tasted. And the wicked woman wouldn't give me her recipe or any tips!!!!!"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Elona, I voted.
Best of luck to them!
I have just come back from looking at one of the potential venues for my wedding next year *happydances* It's beautiful, really nice. And it has been a (SO) hot day at work today - hoping it's a little cooler tomorrow so I don't run the risk of falling asleep at my desk, siesta-style. One other thing, I've had far less caffeine today than normal, so I will sleep tonight! It also means a few more pennies saved instead of splurging on cola, and I get better skin into the bargain.
I've planned my cake, they're going to be old-style and homemade, and just need to work out a few more details on the dress and it'll be grand.I'm getting excited as I have to ring the venue tomorrow to see if they have the date available! Wish me luck!

Good luck Frugalswan, I hope your date is free.
Elona, I have voted again, hope the girls do ok.
Mioliere & Pippa....I have the triplet at home with me. This morning I got a phone call, it was about 7.20 and went like this:-
Mr T, "have you seen my laser level?"
Mrs T, "no"
Mr T, "can you go and look in the kitchen"
Mrs T, "no, it's not here"
Now, bear in mind we had the same conversation at 6.50 before he left for work and neither of us could find the dratted thing then.
Mr T, "I think we've been robbed, whilst the back door has been open"
Mrs T, I'll get dressed and look upstairs....oh look, here it is"
And as for the tea drinking, don't get me started on that, I buy teabags from Cash&Carry in bags of 1100 at a time. :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Yes, Whatatwit - definitely a triplet! I'm so glad we're not alone! Mine's now 'lost' his plastering float! Well, I must have been the last one to use it, then!

I'm bit confused myself TBHIf people comment on the veggies in the garden, he'll say 'oooooh Trace did all that', or if someone's having money probs he says 'I know just the person to ask'. He almost brags about me
His aim is the same as mine - trying to be as self-sufficient as possible.
He worries about money but doesn't look at the spreadsheet when I tell him all is OK, so how can he worry if he doesn't know? I asked him who he'll ring for the insurance money if I die tomorrow, he said he doesn't know but it's in the folder somewhere and he'll find it :rolleyes:I am a coffee bean0 -

Thanks troo, don't feel so thick now.((hugs)) to you though, living in bewilderment.
