Twink, hugs to you and DS1
It's been extra extra muggy here today (Gloucester). I got the washing in, watered the greenhouse then stood by the back door willing the rain to comeThe clouds got darker then a storm started :T Nice and breezy too, the windows are all open so it's really cool in the house. Just now, the thunder was so loud that I had to stop talking to master troo, he couldn't hear me
The animals have perked up a bit, I was beginning to wonder if they would melt  There's people walking down the road getting soaked, they're slowly ambling along, just glad to be cool I think

Hi all - we have had a baking hot day here but no sign of any rain; the sky is still really blue. I hope it cools off for tonight though - the heat stopped me sleeping properly last night and I've been tired all day! I have all the windows open but it's difficult to get a real breeze going. I also should have got my washing in hours ago - it'll be a devil of a job to iron, now!
I've just put sausages in the Remoska and will add some onion and the leftover cooked new potatoes to it after about twenty minutes. Pudding is bread-and-butter pudding, also cooked in the Remoska, and it has turned out really well. I must have saved a fair bit on energy costs today by not using my main oven.
Elona - can't remember if I told you I voted again today. I hope all our votes do the trick! Good luck to them!
Well, I'd better go and get this washing off the line - it's too hot to water the garden, though; that will get done when the sun has gone down. My courgettes are almost at the edible size now. I also have blackberries almost ready right at the end of the garden but there's a little family of sparrows who think they belong to them!
Well, will catch up later.

PS it worked, reboot router for a new ip address and clear all cookies and temp files, close browser & restart and you can vote again.

Anne, do you think they could be twins?! My DH is constantly asking me where things are like his spirit levels, tools, even his b****y great mitre saw that weighs half a ton and I have never had to use any of them so why should I know where they are? The thing is, I usually do because I just seem to absorb into my brain where everything is. He actually cannot understand it when I say I can only concentrate on something when he's out of the house! And don't even ask about the 'cup of tea' thing! They must surely be related or is it just that they are men?
KathyXX
You never know they could be....its spooky the similarities.....and you know, like you I can usually tell him where they are, not the exact spot but the general vicinity :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:common sense really, tools..garage
Tea..pot, pour it or make it;)

Hello everyone
Sorry, I've only skim-read the thread...
Has anybody spotted Pink-winged recently? I know she went off on her jollydays to France, but has she forgotten to come back or something??
Unfortunately I can't get to see Shez and MeanMarie as the only suitable date was a weekday, and I'm now wo*king. Ah well....
That reminds me....wo*k has already got me ripping my hair out! Today was only my fourth day and I don't have so much as my own login for the computer systems. However one of the other people in the office was off today and somebody forwarded her phone to me. Like I am going to know all about her work when I don't even know what I am supposed to be doing!!! As I mentioned before I am still looking for another job and in fact I had an interview today. I really really really want the job however I had a very bad attack of verbal diahorrea (going to have to learn how to spell that cos I wo*k with two bum surgeons). I really did talk a load of old waffle....nerves you see. One of the panel wanted to know why I've job hopped so much over the past few years...!!!!!! this interview was for a maternity cover!! They are offering a temporary job yet they take a dim view of people who take short term contracts. Ya can't flicking win!!
JackieO, glad to hear you sounding so chirpy and getting on with your life after that extremely rude interruption by Mr C.
Elona, I've voted twice now. Fingers crossed they get into the top three, it'd be such a shame if they missed out by so few points.
It's boiling hot, so I'm off to cool myself in front of Corrie.
Byezzzz
