Afternoon all,
Happy birthday Haribo...you are just a child!:bdaycake:
Took car for MOT this am and it failed on 2 little things...so mad as they could have been sorted earlier in the week...now I have to get them fixed and bring it back...had a look at some kitchens while I was near...
Redruby.....glad to hear that the dogs are recovering...any sign of paleness in gums with dogs is apparently a sign of poisoning...had it happen to my best dog ever and it turned out that it was a wood preservative which contains arsenic which had leached into water she drank...shouldn't have been where she was so my fault.
Hope that you are all enjoying the warm weather, we aren't having much sun but it is warm.
Jayward, congratulations to DS on passing his test....take care of you.
Aussie....I think that Snowy and Shez are meeting on Saturday in Dublin...Snowy now working. We are probably meeting on 31st at a venue still to be arranged somewhere between here and Kilkenny. Congratulations to you on getting the cholestrol down, glad to hear that your sister is doing well.
Celyn...result!
Hugs to all who are not well

Thanks Mioliere, I'm always on the look out for new cakes.
So the yoghurt goes in as well? Is it a standard little yoghurt pot?
Sorry for all the questions
Hi Cakie - don't apologise for the questions - that's how I started on here!
Sorry, I forgot to make it clear that you DO put the yoghurt in as well!

Afternoon all.
HARIBO: I hope you're having a great birthday.
REDRUBY: Great news about the dogs - I hope they continue to make good progress and get completely well again.
Well, it's another hot one. I don't much care for this heat, but I suppose it does cut down on the washing - I'm sort of wilting around the bungalow in just a sarong.
Bread rolls are in the airing cupboard to rise, will be putting them in the oven in a few mins.:p
Legs are giving me some major gyp today for some reason. We're supposed to be attending a Mensa meeting tonight, think I'll have to resort to the wheelchair, based on the fact that it's taking me several mins just to get from the lounge to the kitchen at the mo.:(
Not a lot else going on just now.....
A Wolfy (((hug))) for those who want/need it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon everyone
i went to the supermarket earlier after walking the doggies, i really only went for the cheese thats on the 50p offer but came out with most of next weeks shopping as well, DH will be glad as when he does the shopping run this weekend with my dad he will only have to buy 4 things :rotfl: I did get 4 packs of cheese with the idea of freezing it but i`ve just made the next two days sandwiches for 2 people and used one pack so perhaps it won`t need freezing as it has a decent date on it anyway.
I filled the car up with petrol whilst i was there quite please with myself as the price is down to £1.15 per litre and when i got home the latest petrol prices email had arrived and its 2p cheaper at another garage close by now:mad:
I`ve done all the ironing  yes all of it lol i`ve been putting it off for so long and now i`ve managed to get it all out of the way - well not entirely as i`ve not put it away yet and i`m surounded by it all:D putting it away will be a bit of a mare as DH has allsorts of junk in his drawers atm which is ending up in places that it shouldn`t, perhaps i`ll let him put his own away:D especially as he left things plugged in again in the kitchen this morning again, i think he`s trying to electrocute me:rolleyes:
Celyn - nice to see that you will have peace at last
cakie - welcome to the daily
Jayward - congrats to your DS
Essex girl - ((((hugs)))) for you and your OH
The hound has just gone running to the door barking but i never heard a knock, better investigate.

Just a flying visit from me to wish Haribo (and my gorgeous dad:D ) a very happy birthday. Hope you both have a lovely day (dad - your pressy is on its way so ignore the above image :rotfl: )
Havent posted for a while now for various reasons - think I am more M+S than OSat the moment but not to worry Im loving the dine for £10 stuff. So tonight its Coquilles St Jacques (£2 half price) with some chicken and salad and a bottle of wine (damn those short use by dates on the wine:rotfl: ) oh and some very lovely looking profiteroles:T all picked up in Cardiff before I left for the drive home this morning so thats my excuse.

Its really hot and sunny here today, think about 70F!!:j ds2 has broken up from school and gone out with hill walking with my friend and his best friend!
I have done all housework, ironing, hoovering and had a quick whip round earlier. I have been out to a hindu temple and centre where they do lunch for £2, for dinner and pud! The food was absolutely to die for!!! It was my works team lunch and they are such a great bunchI had a great time and also very money saving:money:
I have been really busy all week what with all ds2 school leaving do's and recovering after his presentation night at school. I cried for ages, sat in front row of his hall as he was awarded tops sats results of school!!! I ended up really red faced all night and then couldn't sleep all nite!!
so plans for tonight is walk our girl dog and have a bubble bath and catch up with all the tv I have missed this week!!
bye for now xxxxxxxxx'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

Hi again
Many Thanks for the hugs, OH now back at home. The hospital beleive that he just had a really low heart rate which is normal for athletes but for normal people it is near coma levels. However they are having to do a load of heart tests before they will operate to make sure which is fair enough.
Absolutely blistering here today but I havnt seen much of it, have hoovered and washed the downstairs floors so that is good. Just about to put some more washing on the line, we have a nice breeze here being so close to the water so should dry.0
