Busy, but a nice day today - have my friends children here still, as she is off birthday shopping - DS and one of my friends other children still to get here, but as they are both year 6 boys, they are at their leaving BBQ (my DS) or disco (her DS). They are walking home at 6, so will be looking out for them around 6.10!!
I am a bit upset about missing the leavers service at the church, but with the LOs i look after arriving at 2 (service started at 1.30) and that i already had 1 here i wasnt able to, and with work being a bit slack still, (roll on September)an needing to go to London in the holidays, i couldnt afford to take the day off. Anyway, i saw DSs teacher, and found out that he was sharing the reading of a prayer with 2 others. His friend read the first part, DS the second, and as he passed it to the next girl, she burst into tears. Well, DS cool as a cucumber said, its ok Bethany, took back the microphone and read the remaining part of the prayer as if it was meant to happen!! He really does make me proud sometimes, makes up a bit for the report on Tuesday!!
I took a photo of him this morning standing at the schools entrance - i took one on his first day of school, and its been lovely comparing them - he has grown so much!!
Anyway, must go, im feeling all tearful now (happy and sad tears) my baby is off to big school - this time next year it will be DDs turn, where has all this time gone!!!
Have a lovely evening everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Afternoon all
Have had a lovely old-fashioned day down at my dear neighbours beach hut. Just so love it down there as there is nothing to spend any money on other than an ice-cream. We always take a picnic. DS has grown in confidence this year with his swimming and body boarding, am so pleased for him. I'm so lucky to live so close to so many beautiful sandy beaches that are all free, but then I've always been a beach bum since I was tiny.
JAYWARD congrats to your DS.
HUGS to anyone in need of one.
DS now fed and exhausted. OH at work. It's nice and quiet. Off to make myself a nice salad for tea. Have cooked up some of my potatoes.
Have a good evening all.

Just had dinner, lemon chicken, rice and peas, it was delish, got in from work and put a wash on, hung it on the line at 4, and it was dry when I watered the garden at 5, got another load out there now, lots of towels which I will leave out there overnight.
DD's friend has gone now, she really is a lovely girl, so polite, but it is nice to have the house back to ourselves.
Just waiting for sainsbugs to deliver, then a bit of tv, and an early night, with a book.
Celyn, glad to hear the Dr's went well, and that work is a bit better xx
