  • Hi all,

Has anyone had any success with the Bank of Scotland recently. It took 4 months and the Financial Services Ombudsman for them even to send out a form about hardship. They told the FSO that the reason for not responding to me was because I had not returned the form. Needless to say the FSP has ditched the case. Sorry I just feel very frustrated. I am about to have to go into a voluntary deal with creditors becuase of the inaility to meet minimum payments and no-one apart from here seems to be inclined to help not even the FSO.

Sorry about the rant but I just feel that I have had enough of banks and just wish that they felt a little of the pain that they have caused and are causing!

OK, did you tell them that you had never received a form to fill out and that the FSA had sent out directions in March 2009 stating that only when there was insufficient details do they need to send out a form?
What was the exact wording of their letter? Did you send the FOS an income and expenditure form?
Are you going to go back to the bank with the I&E plus notices of arrears?

credit cards aren't priority debts either(however you should be reclaiming the charges from the cards including the £12.00 ones)
Electric bill is priority debt, are you paying the arrears off?

It will be paid into the account where the charges have been made from.

Hi all. I've had a "success" letter from Abbey dated 14th August under hardship. However I still have not had any money put into my account. After ringing up they say it takes up to 10 working days from the letter. Checked online and still no cash. The letter says nothing about the 10 working days. Anyone else experienced this and what can I do about it?? All help appreciated.

When have abbey said that they have received the acceptance form. Count 2 weeks cos at the moment, 14th if that is when you received the offer is not the date they received the form back.

Course you will do lol. The letter states im getting a refund for £539 which is great. Due to mortgage arrears etc. However the problem is no money has actually been paid into account. The 10 working days bit was told to me over the phone. Since posting I've rang again and a lady told me that it was meant to be paid by now and I'm waiting for a call back. Could be a long wait I know. So close to actually getting something but not quite there. Or do you mean I should be writing back to accept the offer then wait the 10 days??
