So as the halifax has made a final rejection of my claim under hardship and I am not going to waste my time with the ombudsman because I live with my parents how long , realistically until we get paid out from the test case( assuming it goes our way.)
About 2 years from now?0 -
What is the the reality of people getting money from the Hell Sadistic Bank China ?
I mean it's very hard for me to guage what kind of success's there are purely because of the conflicting info people seem to have had regarding the harship claims?0 -

Hello,
Not posted on for a wee while called HBOS about two weeks ago to claim under the financial hardship route , told would hear back in 5 days. .guess what never did..I did however get an expenditure form that I filled in and sent straight off. I called the bank today and was told they only got the form on Thursday (funny how the banks mail takes longer than ours). I have been informed that it will be sent over to the review panel today and I should hear back within a fortnight. I will not hold my breath but I will keep you posted.0 -

Did you get a final response letter from them?
Remember to do everything in writing initially.
Hi Again,
Yes I sent the letters from the templates on this site in the correct order. However the banks reply was as follows:
" I regret to inform you that having fully considered your request, we are unable to make a refund of the fees applied to your account as there has been no error on the part of Halifax"
It then goes on to state:
" I would advise that under the terms and conditions of your account, we can apply bank fees when there are insufficient funds in your account to cover items, which are presented for payment"
I have complained to the ombudsman and await their reply, and I hope the result is that I get the money they have robbed me of back.0 -

I don't think that it is a final response letter.0
