On a basic claim with all information to hand , ie Income and expenditure form, copies of priority debt arrears plus your reasoning why you disagree with the decision then possibly 12 weeks. However without a financial hardship closure letter it could take longer,.
Who is it with and do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage.rent, council tax, utilities)?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

    Mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities arrears?

Reduction in hours is good but are you living at home?
Have you had credit card charges?

yeh live on my own ,rent ,c-tax all behind
yes card charges , the insurance of my bike is 20quid a month but i always got charged an extra 40 cos i missed it so had to cancel it , sky cut off basicly everything i dont really need is cancled and just cant seam to get rid of bank charges

iv told them aswell that when refunded i would be clearing all debt with the bank, i thought that would kind of help , mibe i was wrong to

if i got a full(ish) refund it would get me out of owing rent, tax , credit card and loan, which would help , all iv read on here is people asking for a refund and forgeting about it then get a payment, i cant forget money worries is with me 24.7 but everything happens for a reason , mibe they will pay me a huge compo payout for the stress lol

Hello, New to all this. I have a claim sitting with HBOS for around £3000 that was submitted back in 2007. I was thinking of going down the financial hardship route. I have since received more charges and would like to know if I need to submit another claim or will the bank provide a new total when I request the financial hardship route ?? All help greatly appreciated .

    Hi Everyone,

I wrote to Lloydstsb asking for refund of charges (almost £4000!) just before the waiver. I think I might now be classed as a hardship case - drop in income, bounced cheques, living on cc's etc. but I know lloydstsb are notoriously difficult to say the least. Have phoned them and they just keep quoting T & Cs or telling me to contact CCCS - which I am in the process of doing. Anyway I am going to give it a go so does anyone have any experience of this with lloyds and what is the address I actually write to.

    Thanks

You can give it a go, but i have had problems since november 2008 with lloyds and im in financial difficulty, and still keep fobbing me off. You will end up writing to the financial ombudsman like me. Lloyds will charge you on charges and interest after interest. Theres just no stopping them. Good luck anyway. The address is:

    Lloyds TSB
    Customer Service, Recovery Centre
    Charlton Place
    Andover
    Hampshire
    SP10 1RE.

Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage.rent, council tax, utilities)?
Yes all of them and all are with debt collects
What did the final response from Nationwide state to you?
After careful consideration of the information you have supplied I'm unable
to refund charges on this occassion. You declared a defficit of £150.00
per month; however you have no arrears and no debt, which does not seem to reflective of the situation of someone who has been in hardship since August 2007. In view of this we are unable to agree to refund charges.
However we will review our decision if you provide us with further information relating circumstances. We realise that our answer will disappoint you however we trust that we have clarified our position.
so I am going to send them every court threat direct debit return letter I have.
and a letter explaining the FSA definition of hardship which I got from this site
which is completely my situation also I have let the FSA have all my correspondence that i have done recently so they can decide.
  • Thank you. I have just started using this forum and with help like this, I will be using it more often.
