Have you made a claim for the money yet? You have to send your bills to them at certain times during the year to get your cashback. The money is not sent to you automatically.
I would imagine cancelling would be a problem as the cashback would be a problem as the contract is with the phone company, while the cashback is from e2save0 -

Caution is required - if you are in a cashback contract, you also have a contract with the supplier as well as 3 - therefore if you cancel, they tend to have something in their T&C about claiming money back from you if you change the contact (usually first six months if I recall) as they have their commission claimed back by the network in that time). If I recall, my CPW contact (£2.99 month/12 months) stated that you could not change the contract at all in the 12 months, including changing tariff, or you would loose the cashback.
So in summary, don't cancel before you check as you may have 2 contacts - one with 3, one with the mobile phone shop - the change in T&C may mean that you can get out of the 3 contact but I doubt it would get you out of the shop contact and may leave you facing a large bill.

to ther person saying where ppl moving to. Moving to O2 they have some good tariffs at the moment. Ppl who have no good coverage of three / o2 are moving to Vodafone / Orange. And ppl who want to move back to Three and keep the number are moving the number to Virgin and than back to Three on a new contract but with a PAC code to keep the old number.0

Has anyone successfully cancelled their contract because of this? Also, this may be a stupid question but do you have to give the handset back to Three if you cancel?0

On another thread discussing change of terms (Orange, 0800 numbers), someone has pointed out that Orange have rolled back the change for people that objected to it as a change of T&C.
People contemplating cancelling the whole contract on these grounds should be very careful that they have discussed their objection to this proposed change with 3, have given 3 ample chance to reconsider, and are certain they can prove that 3 have refused, before proceeding to cancel.
And, as reelcrazy suggests, read the T&C about the fate of the phone on early cancellation.
The same would apply to any deal where one party proposes a change that the other does not like. It is only (arguably) a breach of contract when it finally happens, not when it is first suggested for re-negotiation.0 -

Everybody who has a current 3 contract should apply for the £5/month reduction in line rental (if they don't want to cancel completely).
