  • My wife bought a bed from this "company" on the 29th of August. Unable to get the company via the phone or website. As soon as I tried to access the website after being alerted to the problem by my wife. I immediately said "you've been conned" - she was not bets pleased.

    I mean "this website is currently unavailable until further notice" on the net or the .co.uk address would suggest this company has went bust or they have been informed to cease trading by trading standards or similar for some reason. I phoned my bank and told them of the problem & where most helpful in arranging chargeback e.t.c.

    It Has been four weeks since my girlfriend and I ordered two pieces of furniture from furnituredeal.uk costing £800. Went online yesterday to check our furniture measurements only to find the website down? We then rang the customer service number, the website sales number and the fax number and none appear to be operational! We have just stumbled across all these posts and have been reading in disbelief! Although our order is not due for another 2-3 weeks unfortunately we paid by visa debit card and think we may have just joined the long list of consumers being stung by this shocking excuse for a company!!!
    We did manage to get a full refund last year after using our visa debit card online with a company that went under.

    My worst experience of Internet shopping ever by a huge margin. Appear to be 'good value for money' when you look at their prices but realistically..
    1) Payment taken on order not shipment
    2) 'expected shipment date' on web site is a myth
    3) continually receive revised delivery dates - which are never achieved
    4) trying to get a refund is exactly the same... dates are promised then changed or missed.
    In summary... appalling. Don't waste your time or money

    Company No 06362628

  • I am adding my complaint to the many others on this site.
    I too ordered item from them that didnt show up on the date of delivery they advised me, I even had to hassle them over that too.

    it pays to check the many forums before you buy from anyone you cannot physically talk to over the phone.

    luckily ours was paid on the credit card, but I feel so much for those who have paid other ways. its disgusting.

    I have just been on to my bank to ask about a chargeback and they were fine, going to send me out a disclaimer form so hopefully I will get my money back. I paid with a visa debit card so you can get refunds, I only found that out after learning that on this forum.thanks
  • I have contacted Companies House and they said Furniture Deal Co. UK Ltd informed them on Friday 4th September 2009 that there registered address is now 203 Belgrave Gate, Leicester. ASI Properties Ltd are the company based at this address and say they have never heard of Furniture Deal Co.Ltd.
    Trading Standards and Companies House have adviced me to write to this address requesting a delivery date of my furniture. If I get no response (which I'm sure I won't) then to inform my bank and request a charge back (I paid by debit card). I only ordered my furniture last Wednesday so at the moment they are not in breach of contract, according to Trading Standards. However, reading alot of the posts on this site I'm sure they are in breach of contract with alot of their customers.

    My mom ordered 2 pieces of furniture 29th july, 6-8 weeks delivery. Not sure what to do as although the company obviously have crap customer service, are deliveries actually being made?
    She also paid by maestro.
    It is a worry that the site is down, but I looked at the other site mentioned (display deal) and that looks to be a newish company. Tried to phone their number but no reply!! Have sent emails to the company, will post when / if I get a reply.
    Please excuse the babbling, I'm new to this lol :o

    P.S Does anyone know if you can claim a refund when using maestro?

  • Gonna add my story to the list.After a lot of groveling from the wife we ordered a 1000 pounds worth of bedroom furniture thing is she ordered over the phone with her debt card she got told her post code was her tracking number,she got no email confirmation of her order so tried the tracking number which looks nothing like the site one,after a few online chats with customer services they finally found her order,they took the money out of our account 2 days after the order was taken now the site is down and nobody is answering the phone. Just hoping it's all just bad service and not them going under.The website looked quite impressive just wish i had took a couple of minutes to research them first.
