I was in Tesco this afternoon and saw the tins. Whoooo, got a nice pink one with a flower on it.
No idea if the towel is any good or not, but I thought the tin looked jazzy.:rotfl:
That was me and my mum the other day in Mr T's. we stood there digging through the packs to make sure we got 4 different tins :rotfl:
anyways on to the original question... in our house (communal drawer) it tends to be bodyform with wings we just seem to prefer them over always though always do occasionally make it into the drawer. i do remember having samples of a varity when i started as we had been given a bunch during the 'talks' at school so she may end up with a selection anyways0 -

Well it's what I was thinking aged 14, locked in the bathroom reading the instructions on the pack!!! :eek:Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -
I think I need a tin too ... after I pulled my headphones out my bag on the train yesterday to find that it had attached itself to a stray panty liner!
I'll never forget a girl/ young woman (also on the train, though many years ago!) who having lost something in her handbag, proceeded to empty out her possessions on to the table (as you do!). However, she didn't realise that she had placed a sanitary towel on the table (yep, one of those thick, padded types). It wasn't until half the carriage were looking at her that her friend nudged her and pointed to the towel. The poor girl looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her up!
x Gone ... or have I?0 -

I got a tin after I pulled a notebook out of my rucksack at work and realised there was a pad hiding in the middle of it. :rotfl:Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -
I would recommend a mooncup then there is no need for your daughter to carry things about with her. If that is too much too soon then definately towels with wings. I would steer away from tampons though, messy fiddly things!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I don't really think a mooncup is a good idea for a young girl-they are disigned for an adult (female) body. Tampons however come in tiny sizes these days-so more suitable if she wants something more descreet.

I remember keeping my sanitary protection in an ordinary fabric pencil case when I was at school. Don't know if that helps.
There seems to be loads of packaging on these things now, and all folded up in their own plastic wrappers. I remember my mum getting a couple of different boxes for me to keep in my drawer for when the time came. It might be worth getting 2 or 3 and letting her choose her favourites later.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
I used to use the horrid nappy style Always pads aswell.. jeez, they were awful.. and huge!
I now use Tampax.. but remember if your 'little one' ever starts using them remind her of the toxic shock issues if she leaves one in!

Also, Always ones came in a nice wrapper, and it was handy when changing towels as you could put the old one (sorry!) in the new ones wrapping..
to dispose of it nicely
