Hi Martin going to be a bit controversial here - what's new you will all say:o .

You are staying to the end of July, and they would like you to stay to the end of August, but you have no contractual commitment to do so, but it is the busiest time of the year. Ask yourself these questions, I cannot answer them:

1 - Have they been a good a supportive employer?
2 - Did they help/support you when things went pear shaped?
3 - If life hadn't gone pear shaped would you still be happy working for them?
4 - Would it be the end of the world to stay to the end of August, and spoil the start of your new life?
5 - Would it put some coffers in the back pocket to help the new life?

You like me and Charlies_Mum know that August is the month when camping/caravanning is at it's height, especially the August Bank Holiday week. I don't want to add to their "emotional blackmail" i.e. desperation pleading as I am sure someone with your knowledge and experience are not sitting outside the door pleading for a job:rolleyes: All I am saying is that they do need you, and you know it. Maybe "your Julie" could spend some holidays with you in that period so you do see her? Although you are ready to leave Dorset and come back "up norf" it is a lovely part of the world (though maybe better without the tourists). Job prospects in August when all the factories are closed down for at least 2 if not 3 weeks are slimmer than normal. Just think it through. Maybe they could come up with a small bonus for staying?

The only one I'll answer is #3. For a long time now I've been extremely disenchanted with working in this industry. To be honest, I'm sick to the back teeth of having no life because I work that many hours that I'm too tired to do anything on my ONE day off a week.

I'm fed up of missing out on all the things that I'd love to do but can't because they happen at weekends.

I'm sick of having to put up with people who think it's alright to do what they want and s*d everyone else.

I've had more than enough of people who think that it's acceptable to use showers as toilets, let their dogs !!!! everywhere and run round off the lead and let their kids act like wild things.

I could carry on but I haven't got enough energy for it. What happened to me was the catalyst for my leaving not just here but also the tourist industry. I want a normal life where I finish work on a Friday afternoon and can go away for the weekend if I want to. Working at a caravan park looks very nice from the outside but believe me, there's too much !!!!!! that you don't see for me to stick it any longer.

Good for you on the bargains halia...I only visit any of those specialist shops when they have a sale on, even then they are sometimes too expensive.

    Joannasmum...hugs..enjoy Dorset

Shez...dont worry, not really all that cold, just think that OH is having panic attacks about his health...the rest of us were quite comfortable yesterday in thermals, 3 layers of sweater, duffel coats, hats, scarves, gloves and Ugg boots!

About London...I dont like cities but must confess that there are lots of parks etc in London...DD4 visited DD2 in Highbury last weekend and was very impressed with the outdoor amenities in the area, so take a bow Londoners.

    Have a good day

Just got back from Matalan and Asda. Bought two dresses with petticoats and knickers, more frilly knickers, socks, baby shoes, and a comforter:rotfl: Would have bought more, but DD stopped me!

rmac I always make pastry in my food processor. Just put the flour and marge in, blend till it's looking like breadcrumbs, then add water, running on slowly, till it gets into a ball. Leave it to rest in the fridge for half an hour, then roll out.

Aussie, I'm really disappointed that you showed everyone that picture of me when I had specifically said not to. Well madam, two can play at that game! Everyone, this is a picture of AussieLass taken between her waking up and her having her first cup of coffee of the day. If you are subject to funny turns or are of a nervous disposition do not look!! At the very least make sure you are sitting down...

Not a pretty sight, is she??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

Catowen, don't worry about London!! I was born and brought up in rural Ireland, yet I loved my years in London, all 17 of them. There is so much to do there, so much to look at (other than the weirdos walking the streets (joke!!);)), so many opportunities....I really do miss it you know. I'm really jealous of you, you'll have a fabulous time. Well done on your weight loss, I bet you look even more gorgeous now.

Elona - good idea about not weighing yourself. However if you can face it, it'd be a good idea to take a few measurements of yourself as well as judge your progress by your clothes. Sometimes clothes, especially those with a bit of in-built stretch are rather forgiving. If you take measurements you'll have actual facts to monitor yourself with. Not that I'd dream of following this advice, I'd rather do the four minute mile than have a measuring tape come near me.

Joannasmum - awww you poor thing - your little girl is growing up. Big hug to you.

Shez - make sure you pack wellies, jumpers, umbrellas, suntan lotion, tshirts, sandals, overcoats.... the weather is quite changeable:rotfl:

OK, have to go and see that agency I was wittering about earlier. Bye for now.
