CATOWEN - your brave goignto London, it scared my s@@tless when I went there in April last year and its safe to say i will not be repeating the experience anytime soon - although my nephew has sadi he would like ot go to the natural history museum but with his ADHD/Autism and Aspergers it may be quite a challenge as although hes good with me I have never seen him 'kicking off' (as we call it) and Im not sure how id reeact or how he deos as I tend not to stay about if he gets his look on (his face seems to change when hes abotu to go into one and thats the point I leave) becasue to me he is the happy, smiley, bouncing little 10 year old but in one of his......'kick offs' he is a totally different child and my boyfriend has had to be calel da few times to restrain him and even he has a hard time (hes 5'11 and 14st! ).

Mornin' all.

A Wolfy (((hug))) for everyone who's unwell, worried, or otherwise not happy.

I'm a lot better than I was yesterday, thank goodness!

r.mac, I don't like putting my hands in pastry mix either; I use the back of a fork to get it to the breadcrumb stage, then add the water and then use the same fork to wallop it all together. Seems to work.

Mr LW is working from home today, so I'll be drinking lots of tea as he's a Tea Monster and always makes me a cup when he has one.

I've just picked some dessert gooseberries off our bush, and a couple more tomatoes - good timing, as it's now started raining.

Mr LW had a nice surprise in the mail - £15 in shopping vouchers, courtesy of Everards Brewery, as we did an evaluation of one of their pubs, one of these "mystery customer" thingys.

Hippo Bathday (as a friend of ours puts it) to Sammy Kaye and Master Fizzell.

Hi all,
well myself and the houndies have just got back in from our walk and we are soaked to the skin, i waited until the heavy rain eased off a little but true to form as soon as we were halfway down the road it poured again:rolleyes:
The old houndie has a coat which fits but the young one has one which belonged to our last dog and it`s really too big for her until she starts filling out a bit more so i spent most of the walk pulling it back into place. They have both been towelled off and are falling asleep now - wish i could do the same, when i`ve finished my cuppa i`ll be taking a long hot shower, i`ve decided that the ironing can wait as i`m not in the mood for it now, i`ll have an hou online before setting off for w*rk.

R.mac - i hate putting my hands in the pastry too, i hate the way it goes down my fingernails so i always use the food processor until its at the breadcrumb stage and then turn it out and use a fork until it`s ready to roll out.

Catch up later guys

Hello everyone!
Birthday greetings to Sammy Kaye and to young Mr Frizzel.
:beer::bdaycake::bdaycake::beer:

I got off to a bit of a bleary eyed start today - I was online until about 3.30am buying stuff in the M&S sale. Yes, I know I don't have any income right now - but I did get some fabulous things which I can wear when I do have a job. When I was out and about yesterday I popped into Evans and they have some jewellery on sale - bought three pairs of earrings and a bracelet set and it all came to the grand total of £4.00 - normal price would have been £32 so I'm really pleased.

Today I've got a meeting with an agency - it's about 45 mins drive away which is a bit annoying, but it has to be done.

Otherwise today I've got to fill in a couple of job applications and get those sent off. I've also got to go and buy a bra extender - I bought some new scaffolding from https://www.figleaves.com - unfortunately it's just a little bit too tight and as I want to wear it tomorrow at the wedding really need to make it more comfortable otherwise I'll be in pain.

Our binmen are on strike today so my rubbish won't be collected. I don't tend to throw much away but the bin is whiffy and I really want to wash it out but need it to be empty to do that.

There is no more news in SnowyOwlsVille so I'll love you and leave you.

Bye

afternoon, feeling very good today as have just been shopping and spent £65 - doesn't sound to moneysaving or OS does it?
well we're going to a friends do and househunting at the weekend and instead of a B&B or hotel we're camping (thats OS right?);)

Last time we camped it was just me and DH so I dusted off our kit and checked what we needed to take DS with us.

My VIP list was: new walking jacket for me, travel kettle, inflatable mattress for DS, new mummy sleeping bag as one of ours seems to have vanished (think I lent it out)

I looked in millets etc online last night and even with a sale on those 3 things alone would come to over £100. So I went into town instead.

Jacket £15 from tesco in the sale
travel kettle £10 from argos
sleeping bag, spare camping mat with insulating foil underneath, self inflating mattress with pillow, beach shelter £20 in TOTAL from netto's
Variuos bits and bobs from a home bargains store, satchets of hot chocolate, eyemask and earplugs, emergancy foil blanket, extra large cool bag, cereal bars and cartons of OJ, Insect repellant+bite soother, wipes, tuppaware for food storage £10 in TOTAL
Special noise reduction (snoring and music) earplugs from millets £7 (hey ho, I just couldn't find these cheaper)
packasac kagoole for DS £3 from tesco

feeling great now! I can't believe how much the specialist outdoor shops charge tbh. Now OK if I wanted an all season, climb everest type of kit I would go there. But I need summerweight kit for a couple of nights in a campsite with a toddler. £25-£30 for a travel kettle feels like a real ripoff. My jacket and sleeping bag won't stand up to mountain storms but they'll do just fine for a chilly july evening with rain in england.

Hoping this is the first of several camping trips for cheap hols with DS so most of this kit will get used over and over again. Trying to strike a balance between a level of comfort and not having too much stuff.

Really chuffed with the UV beach shelter it will do for several things this summer. It gives us a bit extra space when camping, it will be great as a beach shelter for DS and DH (both very fair skinned) and it will keep DS amused in the garden just as weel as a kids playtent.

Now off to tidy up, wash up etc and ring DH to see if I can start lugging stuff out to the car.
DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft
£14 Weekly food budget

afternoon everyone

Massive ((hugs)) to all who need one.

Happy Birthday to Sammy

Its dd last day at her nursery today and its hit me really hard. Think my hormones must be in melt down. My babys gone and there won't be anymore, don't think its helping that if I had'nt had the last miscarriage then I would have a 1st birthday party to host around this time.

Apart from that were off to Dorset tomorrow so I'm trying to get everything ready and clean the house at the same time. DD is being so good but DH keeps finding things that need washing that he wants to take with him.

Have a good afternoon everyone
