    Morning one and all.

Just back from a long walk in the forest with the Hounds of Benthos and either it's going to be very warm today or I can take off my fleece :o

Yesterday was a good day for getting sorted. I managed to send off my driving licence for a change of address and at the same time I applied for a digital tachograph card in case anyone sees fit to let me loose in a new wagon  I also picked up some steel section for the big trailer so tonight's task is to make a start on that. Lots of drilling, bolting and welding :j Workwise, I've said I'll stay here until the end of this month but I'm getting "emotionally blackmail" to make me stay longer. They've even asked me if I'll come back for the last fortnight in August when it's a bit short-staffed  The fact that I'm leaving anyway should be enough to say that I don't want to be here so why would I want to spend the better part of £150 in diesel to come back  Ho-hum  The sooner I'm back up in God's country getting on with the rest of my life with my sweet Whistling Gypsy, the better it will be :j :j :j

Now all I have to do is eat my way through the freezer in the next couple of weeks :EasterBun Well, something along those lines :D

Take care all and my thoughts are with those who need them.

    Man try :D

    Morning all

figured its been a while since Ive popped in and said hello to you all.

Have been up since some ungodly hour of the morning because today i am the birthday girl, little one and bf decided it was a good idea to wake me up early befor ebf had to go to work at 6am because he wanted to see me open my presents. Has been a nice morning but am feeling shattered already at the minute.

Spent most of yesterday painting the hallway with little one attempting to help - im not sure if theres more paint on the walls or floor but it looks much brighter - wehn i upload pictures ill let you make up your minds. it was a horrid dingy yellow colour but now its nice fresh white. looks nice and makes a difference already - only problem is im about two inches too short so bf will have to go round the tops for me as i cant reach.

Hoping today I can get to town to get floor tiles that I want put in there - the floor has so much paint on it it will be impossible to cover and to top it off my father announced last night that he is visiting me tomorrow which is nic ebut now i relaly need to get it finished as we have those horrid brown rubber council floor tiles in there at present. Think I have the choice of terrecotta effect tiles or wood, might possibly have grey slate look too but i think terracotta will make it nicer and a bit warmer - too much white could feel awful cold.

No idea what will happen with food today - decided i want to go onto a diet but not sure how to go about it - do i calorie count, jsut eat healthily or use weight watchers?? oh the decisions  may leave it to tomorrow though so i can have a few treats today

hope everyone else is well, hugs to all who need, congratulations to anyone else celebrating today and will make sure to pop in more often.

Forgot to mention: if anyone is in need of an uplifting tune, have a listen to "Built to last" by Melee on Youtube. Not only is it a fabulous tune but the video is great as well.

    Hello Possums :D

Had a lovely Ninny day and the weather although sunny has been cold. ;) XDIL went for an interview for a job today. She goes in next Wednesday for a shift for a trial. It's a nursing aid job at a nearby nursing home. DGS will stay Tuesday night as she starts at 6.30am. But if she gets it she has requested the afternoon shift. It's not full time but I gather I will be having a few Ninny days per week.

Got leftovers for tea tonight and I might make some pancakes for dessert. Nothing on telly tonight except for Pope stuff. He's here on a visit, anybody would think he's a sexy film star  with all the coverage. Last week we had Colin Firth which was much better. :D

Snowy I agree, your hair is a big improvement. :D
    Sammy Happy Birthday
Twink Uncle will be very happy with your help. Always an awful task.
rdchhp I would go to the store first off and see what happens.
    MrsMix

Will pop back later. Have a lovely day & hugs to those poorly. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

    :bdaycake: Sammy and little Fizzel

Horrible here this morning, drizzling and cold. Mind you, last night I thought we were going to be flooded, the rain bounced off the pavements it was so heavy.

Martyn, looks like you'll be gone when we come back in September, so good luck, hope everything works out OK for you

Rddchapp, I'd take it back, I doubt you could have torn it without knowing

Need to do a bit of food shopping today, and then going to have a go at some scones in my new Remoska. Doing liver and onions for DH dinner, I can't stand the stuff  so will do a meat free spag bol for myself

    Morning all,
Didn't sleep well, I've been worrying about my DB2, I have phoned every night since I got back from France but he is not answering. I know he is at home as I phoned my niece, she said '' Dad doesn't want to talk to anyone''
    He is very depressed.

Split pea soup simmering, BM will be finished in 30mns. So that's DH's lunch sorted. Will make a cottage pie for tonight as I'm going shopping in Taunton today with DD1 and DD2. I expect we will go window shopping at Mothercare, I wont buy anything as I think it's tempting fate.

CHRISCA, after all you are going through you must be looking forward to that special cuddle with your GD.
HESTER, I hope things ease up for you, there's only so much you can cope with.

(((((((((((( hugs)))))))))))))))))))) to all in need.
