Many thanks Baggio (and Andy). I tried it on Quidco too.

I phoned up S Digitial and they said that they only do the £60 cashback but in conjunction with no other offers which I mentioned was on Martin Lewis' website when asked by S Digital - although they said that previously, they also had the 12 month free deal. They were also polite.

I emailed Talk Talk with my queries as to whether they have any other deals. I emailed four days ago but yet to have a reply.

Talk Talk phoned me on Thursday - unrelated call to my email. I had used their code finder to ensure I could get Talk Talk in my area and of course apart from putting in your post code you have to put in your phone number (so they can call you up and give you the hard sell).

The man from Talk Talk was rude and pushy. He said that he would reduce the £59.99 to £29.99 (for new phone line). When I asked that there was a deal for 12 months free - he said that that did not exist and insisted that the deal had expired - even though I said it was on Martin Lewis' website - when he asked me where did I hear it from.

In moneysaving mode, called VM to get my landline and 10mg BB (currently £20 amonth) reduced and mentioned talk talk package. Said i am in contract until march 2010 but willing to drop it to £17 a month, and a new 12 month contract.

Does this sound OK, or best to wait until march and then try to get a better deal as im out of contract?

    thanks

Think I've found out the answer to this one - go onto TalkTalk via quidco or top cashback and the promo code in the bulletin won't work. "The promo code used is not applicable on this channel"

Remove the cookies, ie the link back to the cashback site, and the code works fine.

So it looks like a choice between £50 + £30 M+S or £78 off your rental.

I've gone into my Internet Options and deleted the cookies but the I still get the "The promo code used is not applicable on this channel".
Am I doing something wrong. Tried it on home and work PC

I have phoned Talk Talk twice - both their sales and customer service; and they are like robots - they go through the same questions in getting as much information off you - who is your present service provider etc etc and they won't answer any of my questions. They fod me off straight away - I only asked if I could get a new line. They are also very rude.

I am having second thoughts in dealing with them.

But, if I do, is the 112AEFree code only through Quidco?

By the way, there is a free connection now so you can save £30 + £50 through Quidco - just wondered whetehr the 112AEfree (12 months free)had to be also from Quidco?

The offer is still available but has now changed to 300AEFREE via www.talktalk.co.uk/12monthsfree

    Hi Skat,

Sorry to hear you've not had the best response when calling the customer relations team. You could always use the TalkTalk forums for support if you did decide to move your service. Feel free to take a look round and see how we work on there although you won't be able to register until you are a TalkTalk customer.

    Cheers

Thanks Old Grey Fox - that was a really useful link - but please could you tell me where would I input the discount code? Many thanks.

I do not want to phone Talk Talk again at all - 3 times I have spoken to them and each time very unhelpful and rude - amazing that I am still thinking of joining them!

I have phoned Simplify Digital for help instead.

Emma - although I appreciate your email - you did not provide any useful information at all and then offered me to use the forum - but have to be a customer to use it!
