Why is there such animosity between certain boards on here?

sorry smashed i was only joking sweet, :(

I understand exactly what you are saying, we have had quite a few peopl lately under different names and that is sad. Also when newbies post "please don't judge me" or "please don't tell me i'm stupid, i already know that." but we never would. does that make us huggies unable to face the harshness of the real world? No. I just so hope that debt doesn't befall the others that judge so quickly on other boards.
I had to delete my entire sig a month back, I posted without ticking the omit signature box and was instantly terrified of the backlash from the others on that board that i had to delete my sig until the thread had died. it is a sad state of affairs and half the reason why i had a few weeks away.

Never thought of myself as a 'hugger' before, but I do like to thank people when they have been of help!

I would rather be a hugger than a slapper anyday:D

The thing that strikes me is, no matter how 'huggy' we may be on here, there are people on here who are also incredibly tough. The things that we read about people going through - whether it's financial, personal, losing their jobs, houses, etc, on top of the ongoing debt worries - and coming out of the other side with a smile on their faces, eventually, never fails to amaze me. It'd be a hard person who didn't need some respite from the bad times - and that's where 'huggy' stuff and kind words come in.

Oh i dont know, a hug and a slap can go a long way, depends on what you are doing. And where you are doing it. xxxxxxxxxxx I did not say that. It was not me. It was my alter ego.

What you mean it's not the iron fist with which the BGs control the DFW's? My wooden spoon holds no threat to you all????

It's enough to make a girls lower lip quiver it really is... I'm all upset now! WAAAAAAAAH!

    No seriously though...

I think so long as people on here are genuinely trying to fix a debt problem then the support is endless... if they haven't yet had their LBM then frankly I do get a little testy with them at times. The "I want to avoid paying it back" attitude is very different from the "help me I can't pay this back!" and will be met with hugely different responses...

As for other boards... I avoid a lot of them because I don't like the aggressive nature and just stick to those I feel comfy on :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
I'm petrified of the other boards, in my expereince I have been met with nothing but agression and meaness (is that a word?) on the other boards.

I'm a DFW through and through! I stay here where my presence, advice and help is appreciated.

And Id love a cuddle…if anyone wants to give me one..
In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00
In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T
