one thing he did say that might be of use to people if you don't get any joy out of the executive office is to ask for a complaint number. he said this will be a clear indication to whoever you are talking to that you plan to escalate the complaint to ofcom and otelo and shows you have done everything in your power to resolve the situation.

:D:D

aye, A Deadlock Reference Number, to be used to make a formal complaint to OTELO.

read my first post its page 29 thats the route i followed i started with an email then more emails then they called an i missed it so i called back an selected the option for cancellations but its not its retention and it took me bein in a que for 25 mins then 15 mins talkin to them for them to tell me this after me arguing calmly that im entitled to cancell due to there t's & c's an transfer me to the correct department after a further conversation with this dude in bombay if thats were it is then goin through the whole you already new this was gona happen when you renued an me sayin but thats also irelevent as circumstances change and the fact it wasnt actually implimented at the time an your t's & c's clearly state the contract can be cancelled within 30 days of the letter's date if it is detrimental an then him saying as iv not used the phone for 8 months i cant cancell as its not detrimental to me an me stating that its irrelevent as i could start using the phone as im paying for it then it is detrimental and that his excuses are just circumstansial an me lying that i dont use the phone as i use my house phone cus he wanted to no why i wasnt using it (im with o2 now not 1 problem thats not been resolved the same day) so anyway he then puts me on hold for another 10 mins an comes back an gives me cancellation dates an confirms im not liable for the cost of the rest of the contract and i can keep the phone, i asked for this in wriring an he said i had to email in again for that

so im now thinking hang on, there gona lie an say the conversation never happened blah blah blah but low an behold i get an email confirming what i was told on the phone in response to the one i sent an im like wow it worked

whatever you dont get stroppy dont raise your voice an dont swear at them iv done this before with 3 an all times i just got hung up on!

after you send your fist email an they reply, reply back an keep them goin in a chain so all the information is there without them having to look for it (there not to good at that) they will try an lie on the phone an say they dont have the emails but you get a tracking number an when you give them that they miraculously find it

you'l prob be have retention calls too im ignoring them now i dont want them lieing an saying i agreed to a new contract as that will be harder to disprove and i dont wana be goin down the line of a data subject information request an if you did it would probably not be in english anyway lol

the email address i used is 3_customer.services@3mail.com

(sorry for my rubbish spelling)

I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say circumstances change, could you possibly explain this?

I realise that, but what did you mean by it? What I mean to say is that I don't quite understand this angle of your argument, and I'm not intending to pry into your circumstances, I just mean to say why is this reason for early termination of your contract?
Thanks

GRRR, Started email correspondence via the 3 customer services email address. Just had a call back from India, I made my point but he was just not listening. He basically said 'You will not be able to cancel this contract without paying the early termination fee' and that was his last word. Going to get a callback tomorrow off a manager for a deadlock reference number. We shall see what happens but I'm not very hopeful. Maybe I'll have better luck with the executive office, whom I have emailed and will write to recorded delivery tomorrow...
