I realise that, but what did you mean by it? What I mean to say is that I don't quite understand this angle of your argument, and I'm not intending to pry into your circumstances, I just mean to say why is this reason for early termination of your contract?
Thanks
i dont use it an i dont want it, as there is a clause to get out of my contract ill use it, if i used the phone an they hadnt screwed me soooo many times with other details which i wont go into i wouldnt have done this thats all0 -

makes you wonder if they'd be more likely to just hand down an order saying if anyone wants out of their contract because of the per-minute billing then let them.0

can someone just give me a simple yes or no here, as i've read so much on this now i'm not too sure where i'm going to stand.
i renewed my contract in april this year, its an 18 month VT&T1100.
can i cancel my contract as others have done?
first post, as all you guys seem to always answer my questions without me having to ask them.0 -

Well the first question would be - have you got a letter informing you of the change in the terms and conditions regarding per-minute billing ?
if you've upgraded in april, i'd say you probably haven't. If you have, and you still upgraded then you've really got no chance - they'll just argue that you've got it and because you still upgraded, you accepted it.
you could always try and blag it - you could say that you were completely unaware of the change, and that you would not have taken out the upgrade if you had known.
you could say that nobody at the three shop where you upgraded advised you of the change to per-minute billing either.
I would have to say i don't think you're going to be able to to be honest, but it's worth a try - a recorded letter to the executive office won't cost the earth.0 -
Further developments...
Just had another call back from I think a manager at 3 (Indian). He wouldn't cancel it himself but he was much more helpful and is getting one of HIS bosses to call me back 'to see if we can make some kind of special arrangement' (or words to that effect). He seemed to understand what I was saying more and I did not get at all irate with him like the last few I've spoken to. Mainly because he actually tried to help and didn't just parrot the rubbish about upgrading after Oct 07 like the others.
Maybe the threat of OTELO and request for a deadlock letter did the trick.0 -
jasonwatkins,
i dont know if i have received that letter yet, as i'm currently working away.
am i right in saying that everyone else's letters came this month? if so, i'll have to call home and see if its there.0 -
I'm on an 18/12 contract but have heard nothing from 3 about this change - is it across the board to all subscribers? I haven't had this month's bill yet so is it likely to be sent out with that?0
