Posted this earlier on mobile thread but just saw this one. Does anyone know why I can't get my free Orange Wednesday text tickets any more through my mobile. Admittedly I only use it for this but there is a little bit of credit on the phone and Ive sent 4 or 5 text messages plus made 4 calls to 241 and each time they say i will receive a text ticket but I dont. this has happened the past 3 weeks now? ANy ideas. Thanks
the only thing i can think of is that they do say on PAUG that the tickets are like prioritised so if your a lower user you may not get a ticket
but to be honest i havent heard of that happening, and really couldnt tell you why, CS were no help?

I have a question about the free Broadband with Orange contracts over £30. If i started a contract but was unable to make use of the free broadband until, say month 3, can I set it up then? I asked in an Orange shop and the trainee guy said that I would have to restart my contract when i wanted to activate the broadband. I wasn't sure if that's correct.

Surely if they're offering me free broadband for 18months, but i can only use it for the last 15 months it shouldn't be a problem

    Any help most appreciated. Thanks.
the BB has to be on an 18m contract, so if you wait over say 1m in your mobile contract they will restart it so it is an 18m contract
    basically yes its true

    Hi

I have just switched to Orange from o2 online, never had a problem with o2 but I have switched due to a deal including a free PS3.

My question is, will I be charged for calling voicemail and 0800 numbers, or will they be taken from my inclusive minutes? I dont mind if they come out of my minutes as long as they dont charge me for it. I know o2 did this for a lot of 08 numbers and voicemail and they also offered me 1MB GPRS usage, which orange dont.

the 0800 numbers are charged extra, about 10p permin i think
all 08 numbers are charged at different rates

    Hey,
I'm looking at getting the N95 on orange (18months, £30pm, 200mins, unlimited texts, unlimited magic number, £100 credit free) which is perfect for me as I text a lot and my girlfriend is on orange. However I have read that orange are messing with the firmware on the phone and disabling for example the VoIP ability. Is there anyway I can make them give me a non-altered phone? Or does anybody know of a similar contract with a company not screwing with the phone? I'd rather not risk debranding the phone myself as it can void the warranty cant it?
I'm a student if anybody knows of any student deals.

    Thanks
