thanks user051105,
Ooh don't like the sound of that - anyone else got any thoughts pls ?
Perhaps I should call again after new year and ask for email confirmation ?you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0 -
30 days on all mobile contracts.
Some people ask for a PAC then don't use it, so if you don't bother to use yours (which they can't predict), it is rather unreasonable to accuse the network of conning you.0 -
Could someone provide me with some info on the Racoon £35 pm plan, I have heared that after making a certain amount of landline calls despite them being unlimited they would start to be taken from my any network minutes.
1) Will my calls to mobiles just be taken from my anytime minutes?
2) Are calls to landlines unlimited, and will they be taken out of my mobile minutes ?
Thanks0 -
Taking this a little further, my Orange contract is up in a month. If you are considering moving networks, is it worth asking for PAC a now (i.e. month 11 of 12 thus giving 30 days notice) to speed up the move to another network?
I ask this incase if I decide to haggle with the Orange retentions department and this gives me a weaker hand in negotiations or in case there is some T&Cs that extends my Orange contract by a month.
Thanks.redux wrote:30 days on all mobile contracts.

your contract isn't up in a month, your minimum term is. The PAC lasts 30 days hence it can be used as giving notice once you give it to the new provider. Whether you call now or in the 12th month probably won't make a lot of difference nowadays. If they want to keep you, they'll try regardless of the 11th/12th month scenario, if they don't care you'll have your PAC0

calls to mobiles will be taken from your 500 any time/net mins
the fair useage on the land line is 3,000 mins, if you go over that then it will go out of your 500Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
Thanks 'Woby_Tide' for your answer.
PAC number from Orange was requested 5 days ago after haggling with retentions and not receiving an offer I was happy with (compared to T-Mobile Flex-t + Web'n'Walk - Reduced monthly rate until end of January). Orange Customer Service said would be in the post PAC but still to arrive.
How long does the PAC number take to arrive from people's experience please?
Just to clarify, from the date requested I have to pay my existing mobile tariff with Orange for 30 days or from the day I give my PAC with T-Mobile + 30 days?
Thanks! :-)Show me the money!0 -
Might be posted before, but it's too late to trawl through 18 pages of posts.

I gave my 30 days notice to orange on a contact. I took a new orange contract through CPW. I'd like to transfer my number from the expiring orange contract to the new orange contract. I've spoken to orange CS and they tell me this cannot be one - WHY NOT ORANGE ?????
This is !!!!!! CS in my opinion, how hard can it be to transfer my number from one orange contract to another? I'm staying within the same company after all. I honestly don't think that they could be more awkard. Where's the customer service from them? (Rant over!)
Has anyone had any experience of trying or succeeding in getting this done??
Please help.

You should not have given notice to terminate your contract if you wanted to transfer the number. You should have asked for a PAC to enable your number to be ported to another network. This is the same for all operators, not just Orange and has been discussed many many times on here, so do some reading and stop ranting!

Not sure iof this is the right post but is there any way you can find out how many texts that you have left on your account during the month.
The online account area only shows number of minutes.
My daughter is currently going crazy with Texts and I need to monitor/ration her ... last two bills have been >£100 each0
