I'm hanging on till after Christmas to take out a new contract for an Orange 3100 phone (around 900 mins). Do you know if they expect companies to introduce more incentive deals after the christmas gift season?

A while back Orange started charging for this but some people were able to get the 'freephone bundle' added.
I was one of these people who got the freephone applied.
However I am now getting a message saying you will be charged, is this the case, anyone know for sure.
When you phone Orange they dont seem to have a clue.
The woman who phoned me back before told me the bundle was for life of contract, she seemed pretty switched on but cant get hold of her0 -
bump. This deserves to be higher for orange users.nothing.0

Hi!
I recently got a contract with Orange 'racoon35' with free broadband.
Whilst I am reasonably happy with the phone although using nowhere near the 500 minutes/month, I tried to connect the thompson speedtouch 330 modem which they supplied to my computer.
I found this impossible to do without loading all of the software supplied on the installation CD which altered my operating system, loading unwanted software onto my computer.
I do not want Orange Browser, Toolbar, Virus protection, etc, as I already have my own perfectly adequate software in place. I object to the fact that Orange, as well as other software suppliers try to take over one's computer entirely!
All I need is the connection number for Orange broadband and the switch protocol to configure my system.
can you help?
Thanks,

You do not need to use their installation CD. All that you need are the modem drivers off the CD, or locate them on the net and download them. There is no connection number for BB, you just need to enter your user-name and password. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
