eco21 wrote:Hi,
I have worked for Orange Retail for nearly a year now, selling Phones, Contracts, Upgrades as a Phone Trainer, so I can answer almost anything to do with Orange Services.
I also know a little in advance what deals are coming out the next month, so I should be able to post up, what the promotions are, so you maybe better to hold off til next months promotions rather than take a contract/upgrade at this months promotions.
So any questions, please ask away.. or PM me if you wish
Thanks

P.S. Was off work for a week, so thats why I didnt know the £100 Buyback hadnt ended.. just to clear up from the other post
I'm looking for a new nokia mobile on Orange. Is it better to go for a payg or for a contract? My average spend is £16- £18 per month, I'm on a virgin tarrif at the moment.
Next issue is .............
Which nokia is best? It would be good to be able to take photos but its not a necessity though.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I am into my third month with Orange and despite setting up Your Group with mine and the wifes contract phones (both billed to me) the 'free' calls between our phones were still coming of our 200 mins. I queried this with Orange customer services and got 3 different answers that were all wrong. Finally the manager of the Orange store that I used found out that the 'free' calls facility has not worked since it's inception in May. I have been assured that my bills will be sorted once the system starts working. What about the carry over minutes I will have lost etc, etc. Not good enough - I am contacting Orange MD for full refund and cancellation of contract right now!!0

Hi eco,
Just a quick question. I've been a orange customer for 9 years now and I don't want to change my mobile number. What I'm currently on is £20 a month for 500 texts and 120 min, but after insurance, VAT and chargers I regularly pay £30-£40 a month. I can upgrade now and what I really want is the free broadband. The best I've been offered going through retentions is the current Dolphin 35 deal - £35 and month + VAT + insurance, so I'm still looking at £40+ a month. For that I'll get 500 min and unlimited texts. The only thing they would do for me is free itemised billing - not exactly fantastic retentions in my opinion. A friend of mine signed up in June when it was still Dolphin 30 and she managed to combine it with another offer so for £30p.m. she gets 400 min and 1700 texts. To be honest I would like at least 800 texts and 200 min so this deal she got sounds superb but retentions told me even though she got it (as a new customer) I couldn't as its passed and the Dolphin 35 is the best I can do. Is this the case or would I be able to get the Dolphin 35 cheaper. I don't really want to spend £40+ a month. It also means having to get a BT line so I'm up to almost £50 a month. Surely getting Talktalk broadband for £20 pm. including line rental then frees up £30 a month to find a better contract else where. Will orange come down on their price if I keep on pushing or do retentions now have little/no power to improve on the online offers?0 -

Hi,
I have also been subscribed to Your Group for over 3 months. I had also the same story - most tubbies have not heard of it (they confuse it with 'family'), got different answers from diff people about when it will start working and when will I be refunded back my money, etc.
However, it has just started working 3-4 days back (hopefully will keep working now). My bill is due in 2 weeks time, will know then if i get my money back easily or if that will be another struggle.
cheers,

This is my first go at this so.........
basically Im in the last month of my orange contract and I need help to decide what to do next. Am happy wih orange, want to keep same number but the thing is that I got a good deal from Carphone Warehouse when I took the contract out (6 mths free line renal via cashback), which meant technically I was only paying £15 a mth (200 mins & 80approx txts). Can I match this in any way when I upgrade (by upgrade I mean keep same number, not bothered about new phone) as Ive only seen new "animal tarriffs, and they dont really compete. Hope all this makes sense. Thanking you in advance!!

Rebekka wrote:Can you please explain how this is done, as i have spoken to customer services who assure me that if purchased elsewhere i will NOT get the free broadband unless done by Orange on phone, internet or shop
All you do as an existing customer of Orange is call 0800 079 0169.See

It does not matter where you got your contract through as long as you are on a £30 a month or more tariff.
You do however have to restart your contract for the same amount of time. For example, if you're in month five of your 18 month contract, you can stay for another 18 months.0
