Are you sure you had to enter your MOBILE number to check eligibility?
I just checked the site and you need to enter your BT landline number so that they can check if the free service is available to you...
Didnt see anywhere where you needed to enter mobile number0 -
I had a twelve month contract, rang up 4th December to cancel as it ended on 4th January, they persuaded me to upgrade. The phone that came was not as agreed, I followed there t&c's and informed them the day it arrived I did not want this handset.
However, they made lots of excuses and delayed sending the collection bag for two weeks. They have also charged me an upgrade fee of £150 plus vat for the free upgrade, I have returned this handset but they have not removed the upgrade fee.
My contract is currently due to end on 27th January 2007 but they are adamant that I should pay the upgrade fee for a phone I do not have. A £25 goodwill gesture was promised but not appeared.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007

Well go to this page and take it from there.
As medic1978 said, it's your landline number not your mobile number! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Hi folks,
I followed a great MSE offer posted here for the virgin £10. per month (sim only) for 300 mins anytime (cross network) plus 300 texts (exclusive offer for NTL/Telewest customers which expires today)
When I called Orange for the PAC code they told me that I must give 30 days notice and said the PAC code would be sent to me in the post. I was surprised cause I expected them to transfer me to retentions.
Does anyone know if this 30 days notice is legit ?
Are there any safeguards to ensure my request goes through and doesn't mysteriously get lost !!
I am out of the 'Orange' 12 month contract by a few months and have been a good customer for about 6 years.
Thanks in advance.
Chrisyou know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0 -
Chris, same as my request for a pac they extend your contract by 30 days, I doubt it will turn up as this means longer contracted period, more money.
They have cocked me around for over a month now, trying to leave Orange. From what I understood you would get your PAC as soon as your contract ends not have to pay for a further 30 days to get one, seems a bit of a con.
Also I hope they told you that you have 14 days to use the PAC or it will be cancelled and they will continue your contract (seems very suspicious to me), If you find a postal address for orange let me know.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007
