I did get previously advised that this tariff DOES cover calls made to 0870 & 0845, does anyone know if this is correct?

Not entirely correct.

Im on everyday50 with orange. I can call 0871 for 50 minutes every evening and weekend free of charge then 1p per minute after the 50 minutes daily bundle is up.

im being offered 10 % discount on my line rental by a third part dealer
with better hand sets than what orange will offer me,
but orange tell me that third part dealers will not be able to give me the 10%
discount because im on a retention tariff £25 a month 500 mins

can you confirm the dealers will be able to offer the 10 % or not i dont know whos telling the truth

I've been on the virgin tariff from Orange for years now, and it's too good to give up.

My OH would like a Samsung D600e but Orange won't consider an upgrade as technically I'm not on contract, so we would have to buy one.

Is there a way round this, I have spoken to different people at Orange in the past and they all say the same, "it' s not a contact" so any offers don't apply to me.

My OH only uses about £10 a month

I have been an Orange contract customer for about 6 years and have found them excellent, oh but now I must have a real whinge, here goes:

Decided to add another phone to my account, went into my local Orange shop, got a deal on a Racoon plan. This was also an 18th month contract, on my receipt from the shop it say's I get included 1000 text messages.
Anyway, it's been more than 2 weeks waiting for my May Bill, I rang Orange on 150, was told ''No you don't have the 1000 text messages and a bill hasn't been sent to you as it's now £1.50 on your plan! Plus I was talking to somewhere in a call centre in the East (India) not the usual up North East accent:mad: Now to me I've been deceived as this £1.50 charge was not mentioned aand to make things even worse can't access my account online.
Even phoned their Premium Rate number (439) and was on more than 6 minutes to no avail. The woman said we will have to ring you back - have they NO. That cost me more than £3 and still can't get online.

Can I go to Oftcom or another similar body? Feel so so annoyed can anyone give me advise. Can't believe I've signed for 18 month's, feel conned.

is it the ovp virgin one with zero line rental, think i may have upgraded someone before in store, pretty sure i have, unless its changed since, it would prob just came up as a band 1 out of 5 so the lowest band so highest cost for phones on upgrade, if you havent already, pop in store and see if they can do it on their computer systems

theres no reason why you should get the 1000 texts with the promotion and if its written on the repciet theres no way they should be denying it, have they given a reason as to why they wont give it?
if you can go back to the store where you got it from and complain that it hasnt been put on the account (please be nice to them lol they prob went thru to an indian call center too to do the cont who didnt put it on!)
or if you cant get back to the store, photocopy your repciet in a letter of complaint to orange HO stating to either give me what i signed up for or cancel the contract because you have it in writing that thats what you signed up for

as for the bill charge, personally i think for them to have decieved you they would have had to say that there wasnt a charge, if they even discussed it with you then they should have mentioned it, it would be in the magazine too a mention of the charge, if they did the cont on the computer it also says at the top of the contract about the bill and non direct debit charges
with regards to the online access, tell CS to sort it or send you bills free of charge

hi do you know of any decent contract packages going on orange at the moment? my husband is on orange and i want to go onto orange, i need more sms than calls and hopefully a 12 month contract. was looking at the motorola v3i or v3x. any help would be appreciated.

the dolphin ones will be best, e.g. 100 mins and 200 texts for £30, or 75 mins and urrrmmm think its 125 texts for £25, or you can get 0 mins and 500 texts (all the amounts of texts will double for 1st 6m if you get it from orange retail!) wont give you many mins tho as long as its over £25 a month v3i + v3x will be free

is an offer for 1000 texts for 18m but obv thats on an 18m contract
but like with that deal you can get - £30 200min 75 texts (double for 6m+ the 1000 in the promo) and 50 orange to orange offpeak mins (again that
doubles for 6m)

or £35 the racoon package gives you 240min (theres a promo where youll get an extra 200min for 6m) no texts but you get that in the promo (depends if you wanna stay with orange tho) and i think its 100 extra land line mins. and that will give you free insurance and answerphone etc too

best usually to look online tho thatll usually give you the best deal
