Now waited 9 days and still nothing has been delivered. This is not an acceptable service form this company. I have mailed the 'support' address and got the usual reply that we should wait 21 days before making another enquiry. When should we get more concerned?
Another weekend and another Monday, still nothing delivered from this company. Getting a little annoyed now.0 -
I ordered Win 7 on the 3rd Nov so after the supposed lost one but still no sign of it-= sent them an email this morning, just automated reply so far0

Just received email from them stating
Hi,
The status dispatched applies to orders that have been validated and approved as per Microsoft requirements. They then are sent to packing as your order is a pre-order it will be packed and delivered when Microsoft have delivered the product.
Regards,
Now i emailed back asking when- as the pre-ordr date stated when i ordered has long passed and within minutes got the same email back again0 -
Have been told it will be another week or so, before I get my software0

Can I ask, how long have you been waiting and how did they tell you it was another week before you get your order? The so called sales line on 02071935335 does not work, it gives the option to press '1' and then nothing. This lot are looking more and more suspect in my opinion.
To make this worse, I recommended them to other people who are also waiting for Windows 7 disks now.

Hi just to let you all know the software (word 2007) arrived on Thursday (19th) first class post. As their was no of knowing if this was the original order or replacement I had to ring them to verify if I had the original disk or the replacement, a further twenty minutes on the phone. This is the first chance to update every one.
It took thirty minutes to load the disks, a further three hours to do the updates an hour for the normal operating updates, and two for the word 2007 updates (with several restarts for good measure) one update was about 250 megs in size for the word 2007 update.

Over three weeks to date.....
I had to dial that 3 times - worked third time.0 -
I am also waiting on Windows 7 from S4S. Previously bought Office 2007 without an issue (although it took 10 days to deliver during strike time).
Was told a whole batch of their mail went missing and that I would be sent another out on Wednesday 18th. Nothing to date. the 4/5 day delivery will be up by tomorrow.
I don't understand the 4/5 day wait when even second class mail gets delivered in about 3 days. Unless they're using a third party postal company.
I get the feeling S4S have been overwhelmed by demand for Windows 7 and simply cannot supply the amount required. And all this is just delay tactics.0 -
zinchead - if I hadn't read it on this board, I would have had no idea why I hand't received mine. They didn't contact me to and I had to wait 21 days before I could do anything about it, so how was I to know whether mine was in the missing batch or not. I'm sorry if I don't get things right every time, I am obviously not up to your standard of posting so I wont bother again.
Sorry Linni
I just got wind up with the postings. To help you understand, they offered me a refund, whereby I reply to a email to confirm my refund, but they have yet to send that email. So how can I get my refund. i am now forced to contact my credit card company and let them sort it, which I know from previous problems they take no prisoners.

Clearly no one has had reason to get a refund. Unfortunately, I vote with my feet, so I asked for a refund. I received the following reply, which I did do as requested.
We have been notified that a large batch of orders despatched between October 23rd and November 2nd have been lost in delivery. Your order for Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Edition Upgrade, Order number 216749 has been included in this batch. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and we are working hard to resolve this issue as fast as possible.
Each product ordered is assigned a specific licence key. We have arranged for the licence key on your order to be cancelled with Microsoft. We are contractually required to supply only one licence per student; as soon as we receive confirmation from Microsoft that the licence key is expired we can then issue a replacement key and re-dispatch your order.
We have been given a date by Microsoft and all keys will be cancelled by Wednesday 18th November. At this stage we can issue a second dispatch. We expect your second dispatch to be with you on or before Monday 23rd November.
If you would like your order cancelled and do not want to receive a replacement copy please reply to this e-mail (orders@software4tsudents.co.uk), adding 'refund' in the subject line. We will then fully refund the cost of your lost order. This e-mail needs to be received by us before Midnight on Monday 16th of November otherwise we will automatically send you a second dispatch on Wednesday 18th.
Please understand that this has affected a large batch of orders between October 23rd and November 2nd. Due to the large volume of orders involved we are unable to deal with all enquiries over the phone and the best way to contact us regarding this specific issue is by e-mail at orders@software4students.co.uk
Again I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are working hard to resolve the problem and very much appreciate your understanding on this matter.

The important item to remember was that it had to be replyed before Monday 16th Nov. I thought I would endorse it fully by sending my reply on Friday 13th November. SO I did.
Still no reply!0
