  • Thought id sign up to say this, I am ALSO still waiting on my windows 7 pro copy. I rang them yesterday and they said it should be here monday and if not they will send out another, as it might have "got lost in the post". Well it will be a first, as I have ordered many things like cds and dvds from online shops like sendit, play and amazon, and I have NEVER had anything get lost in the post.
    Post came today, saturday again, and nothing again. This is beyond ridiculous. I pre ordered mine a month and half ago with original date at something like 19th nov delivery, then all that mess ups happened.

    Now if I ring them monday, they will probably post it out tuesday and I probably wont get it until the next week. There goes setting up the laptop gift with windows 7 as I wont get the time. Great service :mad:.... Last time im using this lot, dead serious.
  • I ordered on Friday and got it today, but I don't have an activation key, I thought they were supposed to supply this, I am now worried.

    On mine the Product Key was on an orange sticker stuck to the back of a black CD wallet. The disc was not actually in the wallet but both were in a thin plastic bag.

    My last four orders with them have been slow but still very good.

  • So...did they get all posts deleted? That was an over-reaction (unless they really weren't representing the company?)

    Surely the mod/admin team here should be capable of dealing with this is a better way than this? Much as many of us have suffered delays recently that doesn't alter the fact that this is one of the cheapest ways to legitimately own some software packages, if the comapny is prepared to spend a little time here allaying fears/offering support then that should surely be encouraged.
    I do understand that rules/procedures were not followed, but it shouldn't have been a hard problem to fix (unless, as I said, they were an 'impostor').

    Thank you MSE customer services department for allowing us to post responses to questions on this forum.

    We experienced delays in delivery due to the postal strike in early November, this was a separate issue from the Pre-Order Windows 7 Professional which we also made available in early November. Delivery dates of the Pre-Order Windows 7 Pro were changed by Microsoft and this lead to a delay in sending this product to our customers. We do apologise for any inconvenience and difficulties caused.

    Windows 7 Professional was made Pre-Order due to the high demand from customers who requested the product before release date. If we do Pre-Orders again we will review the process to make sure the procedure is clearer and any delay in release dates from manufacturers is communicated better.

    This was only for Windows 7 Professional Pre-Order. All our ‘Buy Now’ products are in stock and ready to ship, 96% of which are with our customers within 3-5 days.

  • I registered and ordered from S4S on the 28/12, recieved my purchase on the 31/12. Brilliant, bargain price and genuine service, what more could you want.
    I'll definately be using them again.

    As I was one of the people caught up in the windows 7 pro delay with S4S, it seems to have been an isolated incident, I'd happily use them again!
