I got Win 7 HP, Got charged twice for it, got it back in the end though

I ordered 2 copies of win7 pro - one 32 and one 64.
I got sent two lots of 64, which I thought would be ok. But the laptop is having a problem installing because of a lan problem. The only one that will work on it is ultimate so fingers crossed i'm going to see if they'll exchange as i've not opened one of the packets.

Other than that i got my copy within about 4 days. I ordered them two days apart but they arrived together, already spoken with customer service and they were efficient and helpful.

Have to say have used s4s a number of times over the last 3 years and have always found them efficient.

i registered and ordered on monday 08/03/10 and my copy of office 2007 arrived on wednesday. :):):):)

Hi - does anyone have another number for this company. I ordered a download of Windows 7 for my daughter and I have had a nightmare trying to install it. I am not a computer genius but neither am I novice. The instructions aren't correct to start with and I have tried everything. Support were ignoring my emails and I finally got a response when I found their Facebook page and demanded that someone contact me. They did and then removed by comment from the page - obviously they only want positive comments!
I can do this again but was hoping that someone might have another number to the one that it on the contact us page of the site, which just seems to be a general one.

I'm another victim of their total lack of professionalism. I ordered MS Office 2010 on 13/06/2010 and up till today I'm still waiting. I contacted S4S via email and eventually after 2-3 days they replied. Btw it did not look like a replay send by company, more like email from some bloke who just started to use Internet few days ago, but never mind. At the beginning I've been advised that it might take up to 21 WORKING days (Terms & Conditions) but then they asked me to confirm my address. They had my house number, post code, city and county, but street name was missing. So in that case they said that they have to wait until package is returned to them as undelivered but no one was able to give my any date when it might happen. Surely there are some procedures for that, instead all what I could hear was 'sit down and wait' Now I know that it is my fault to some extend but dealing with this problem for month and a half is just taking the !!!!. Any advice ?

Ordered some software from this company an its almost been 10days since it was apparently sent out to me. I phoned and was told that they will not do anything until 21days has passed. Not happy.

Same here, I ordered some software a few weeks ago and it has said 'despatched' from the day I ordered it. It's worth it when you finally do get it, so i'll just have to wait.,

Edited to say, it's now arrived.

I was sent a corrupt file, it also transpires that s4s appears to be a one man band, a man called Aaron who tells me he is physically in Dublin yet his co.uk url has a London telephone number and Belfast address, his .com address I think is Dublin and so is the .ie one ...

In my own experience he has ducked and dived so hard despite seeing the report from Microsoft who confirmed the file was corrupt to the point my whole system crashed and I lost my Office 2007 which I'd had loaded previously and used.

Use Pugh's .. they are fractionally more expensive but easily contactable, very good and send out disks rather than downloads which take about 4 hours a piece and may be corrupt as mine was.

I requested a refund under the 'Sales of Goods' act as advised by Trading Standards and still he is ducking and diving .. personally I will never use them again and will warn people off., there is absolutely nothing that I can say that is positive about them, sorry but I learned the hard way, be careful, money is tight after all and pay peanuts, I certainly got monkeys!!

Perhaps if we were all to contact Watchdog, they might investigate them??

I bought office 2010 from them, works great, total bargain, I am a part time university student so clearly no need to be full time as long as you have an email address that relates to your uni or college.
