    Details:

Phone and Broadband Bundle Saving: -£8

Total bill per month = £40

You should be able to get some discount on the internet I think

Phone them up and threaten to cancel - my cousin did it repeatedly and got a deal for many months
  • I pay £40 for xl tv, 10M broadband and phone with unlimited calls to landlines at all yimes (also caller ID), if that helps
  • I,ve had standalone BB M 2meg for 18 months paying £11 pm. and the deal ends next month. I phoned retentions 3 times to get them to continue this deal but they were adamant that it would increase to £14 p.m. I told them to disconnect me on 21st March and VM have just phoned me to say I can continue to pay £11 pm. for another 12 months.

I pay £34 for XL TV, L BB (10Mbit), Phone Line with L calls package (Eve/weekend calls) and Caller Display. With a V+ box.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Yeah, I'm getting my ntlworld email subscriptions all transfered to my Gmail, in anticipation of leaving Virgin this year.

I just had a laughable conversation with the rentetion department. I moved my phone from VM to BT in able to get Sky broadband. So I get the call from VM asking what they could do to keep me. I told them what my intention was, and as a customer from the begining of cable in Nottingham with Diamond Cable, about 12 years in total could they offer me a nice deal to stay. I was informed that they could let me have the broadband for £13.90 instead of the £14 I am currently paying!! Needless to say, I there and then asked for my BB to be terminated asap.
Just an update on this. after canceling my BB and phone with VM to go BT for phone (have to be with them for a year now before I can get Sky talk) and Sky for BB, phoned up Sky to sign up for the medium package at £5 per month only to find out that it is going up to £10 in March!! so ditched that idea and signed up with beunlimited for free 6 months then £13.50 after that as per the heads up from MSE
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • After being with Virgin Media when it was Telewest, I got fed up of paying full price & finding out everyone pays differently for the same packages etc.
I phoned up retentions & told them I wanted 10 mb BB, unlimited evening&weekend calls, & xl tv package with v+ box. I was given the v+ box @ £75 installation charge and the tv,phone&BB package for £35 per month on ebills!
A good half hours work I'd say ;)

Decided to switch from Virgin ADSL (£15/month) to Be (£6.50/month) so I called up to ask for a MAC. They offered to reduce my rental to £7.50 a month. Not quite as cheap as Be but went with it. Been a customer for almost a decade now.
