I am also experiencing problems with Virgin at the moment!
I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, back in November my bulk payment for line rental (annually) was coming to an end, Virgin advised that I could renew my line rental for 144.00, the same price I paid the year before.
I also had a 10.00 monthly discount applied to my account which was due to come to an end in March 2016, I asked that if I was to renew my line rental for another year that would my 10.00 discount be applied from April 2016 to be advised yes but in order to apply this 10.00 discount I would have to ring back in March. I was paying 16.50 a month.
Well, I rang them today to get my 10.00 discount applied only to be told there is no discount available on the account, I asked for a refund on my line rental from next month to November only to be told that they would charge me a further 144.00. I also requested to refer back to the notes and to obtain the original call but without luck.
The supervisor who logged my complaint will be the one who is going to be responding to my complaint which I found very strange and also refused to provide his surname to me.
On top of all this I was without a house phone between 16 dec - 8 jan as there were no technicians available over the festive period, Virgin were limited on resource, although this was logged as a complaint at the time , I never received any aknowledgement let alone an apology.
I can pay the extra 60.00 until October however they will have lost a very loyal customer come October!
Feel completely let down shame on you Virgin for mis selling to a customer!0 -
Sadly once you pay you les you loose your bargaining rights.
Only pay it to run at the same time as your contract.
No you can't trust them at all0 -
Record everything they lie through there teeth some of them.0

I was out of contract with Virgin (BB/TV/Phone @ £142/month) and I talked to Sky and they offered me about £80/month. I signed up with Sky.
Virgin phoned me up and offered a £60 reduction. I said no thanks and they put me on one month's notice.
Two days later I reconsidered and I cancelled Sky and phoned up Virgin. They said the offer had been withdrawn and if I wanted the same then I would have to pay £142/month. What should I do?0 -

You need to get back in touch with the outbound retentions team - only way that will work is to cancel your cancellation and redo it in a week or two and hope they call back
Unfortunately you have to be pretty clinical when retentions call with offers...0 -
I have 50mbps broadband and weekend calls phone line, was paying £27.99. I had moved to Sky TV 2 years ago, today I have rejoined VM TV bundle as Sky had no offers worth considering. (Sky retentions offered my 10% off.)
So new deal is Broadband 50mbps, Weekend calls phone line and XL TV (tivo box) with Sky Sports and Sky Movies + HD add on, with this odd breakdown:
First 3 months at £71.36
Next 3 months at £86.36
Last 6 months at £104.74
Not quite the Kahuna bundle, but I dont need the extra mbps, but on call I couldnt get the 'new customer' deal, so was no brainer for me to not go for this package.
Ive to call em back after the first 6 months to see what offers are on, to see if I can continue getting approximately £15 a month off full price per month
Fair well (so I think) to good old 50% off deals, Annual bill over a grand... Have Sky and Virgin opted to reign in the discounts to drive their profits?0 -
I got 100mb line plus weekend phone call plan for £18 per week.
Don't watch TV but with this deal can play catch up TV, as long as it is not live TV I don't need to pay a TV licence.
I'm happy with the deal and was paying £44 for it until Virgin retentions phoned me after I set up the motions of going with BT.0 -
Hi guys was wondering if I could get some advice about my VM.
At the minute I am on big easy bundle with tivo box ( 50 internet, 130 channels and weekend only calls) paying £55.98 a month...really need to be looking at saving. How do I find out when my current contract is up? Thanks:smileyhea:heart: Mrs Lea Nov 5th '11:smileyhea

Had the call today. Was given the lowdown on the deals. All based on 100 Meg bb and weekend only calls:
Big kahuna TV package £46
Large TV package £40
Med+ TV package £32.50
They pay the line rental.
Went for £40 package but thinking I may drop further and just use nowtv.
