On 50meg broadband just now. Latest offer just ran out, was paying £14.50 a month.called up to cancel and got offered £50 credit and the same speed for £24 a month, 12 month contract. Needless to say I never took the deal and put in my notice to cancel.
Just waiting on a good offer...hopefully they call back0 -
Rang today to cancel broadband, have the 50 meg and still have 6 months left on line rental saver bought 6 months ago, said was willing to lose remaining 6 months line rental as was still cheaper getting both elsewhere.
Was offered £8.50 month for the 50 meg broadband for 12 months, I then asked could you do a bit better if I signed for 18 months as that would sync me with the line rental saver and got £3.50 for first 6 months and £8.50 for other 12.
Averages £6.83 a month for 50 meg, happy with that.0 -
Rang to cancel, before I even got to retentions lady offered me 50 mg broadband and M phone for £27.44, not bothered about telly will use freeview.0

Oh dear... Royaly screwed up today! Virgin called asking why I cancelled. It's down to price I say...she offers it for £17 a month...I was paying £14.50 for the last year...I turned it down thinking I could get a better deal but she just ended the convo... I guess they don't call back again do they?? I may have to ring up and say I've changed my mind.... Thoughts?0

Depends on how close you are to the end of your 30 day notice period. The best deals generally are after you cancel and they phone back - they generally call back more than once if you turn down the offer (or if £17 is a good deal, phone back the leaving team and say you would like to accept the offer of £17).
