  • I am currently paying 43.00 per month, this breaks down into the following items:

    Line Rental: £11.00
    TW Bb M TV X L Saving: -£8.00
    Talk Weekends: 0
    Free Voicemail: 0
    TV Size X L: £22.00
    Broadband Size : £18.00

Would anyone have any idea on how to get these down, i tried to ask them for the deal that they had on the website (Triple XL pack £38) but they wanted to ask for 57 quid !

I cannot understand how they work !
  • Managed to get them down to 34.45 for the existing package. They wanted to offer 10mb broadband for an extra £2 per month but i was not really bothered about that !:T

I couldn't think of another place to ask this, so here goes:

I have all three services from VM. Does anyone happen to know if you cancel one of them (I'm considering TV) does it start a new 12 month contract?

I know adding a service would do so, but I don't want to tie myself into another year with them by simply wanting to cut my costs.

If you cancel one, they then charge you the normal price for the other 2 which would probably cost more! I had to cancel my phone in Dec after 4 months of it not working and they then started to charge me £35.50 for just TV & Broadband and refuse to give me any further discount due to the tv package I'm on so I told them to discount all my services which they will be doing from 2moro! Good riddance VM!!!

I would try them again, especially if you were put through to the Indian Call centres. No dis-respect but their conversations are scripted and they seem to be unable to think outside this scripted set of questions.
  • Hi,

Im not due to renew just yet, but just wanted to ask if anybody has managed to get a good deal with regards to the VIP package. Basically i used to work for a Virgin retail partner, so lucky me got the services for half price for 12 months. I am currently paying £42.50 for the whole lot which i hear you say is a steal, and it is but come April 1st it will revert to £85pm which i am not prepared to pay.

When is the earliest i can phone up to haggle? Can i give my 30 days notice to cancel at the start of March which is the 12th month? or do you have to wait until the 12 months has elapsed (if that makes sense)

Ask if you can have Virgin Media's "3 for £20" deal - you get broadband, phone line rental and digital TV in this package.
