To get BT Sports for free I changed my Virgin broadband which was costing me £16.50 per month to BT Infinity.. It doubled my download to 38mbs and upload to 9mbs. Received £55 from Quidco and £100 Sainsbury voucher the monthly cost is now £15 as I already had BT line rental which I pay in advance.0

Just made a right muck up! Called back yesterday as I was hoping for a better deal. Long story cut short I changed my mind and went ahead with cancelling still, the lady said my offer was one of the best and won't get anything like it again! Now I'm like argh I've messed up0

Well I got a letter on Thursday about an increase of £2.50 to VM from 1st October 2013.
Emailed the same woman who got me my deal a month and a half ago, complained as to why I should pay another £2.50 after 1.5 months in a new contract. She has now increased my goodwill discount by another £2.50 so I won't be paying any increased costs. VM doing me well so far.
Unfortunate they have not given you a good deal mark_steps0 -
I currently have XL TV Package, 60mb broadband and a phone line which we never use.
I am about to move into a new property, which has not yet been built, and we have been told that there is no Virgin in the area yet.
After getting a very unhelpful woman in Customer Services, we were told that we would have to cancel the remainder of our contract (6 months) and pay £167.
We are happy being customers of Virgin and don't want to cancel, but I find it highly unfair that we are expected to pay the cancellation fee because they have no other suggestions as to what we could do.0 -
Hi
I've spoken to the retentions team and negotiated a better deal. I's not as good as some but I was quite happy with the result or so I thought.
They offered
60mb BB
Tivo M+ tv
Talk evening and weekends.
They said it would be £43.59 inclusive but we just got an email to confirm the change saying it would be £50.59 inclusive.
I'll ring them back when I can - working the next few days - but I was just wondering if anyone else had an email that didn't seem to match up with the offer on the phone? Maybe there is a discount not showing up?
Thanks0 -
I'm currently have....
Tv M+
V+ HD monthly fee
Broadband L. Subtotal £27
Promotional discounts. -£3
Telephone line. £14.99
Total £38.99
How does this compare to what others are paying?0 -
If they can't offer less than £20 I'll just leave and come back later to grab a new customer deal bringing it under that anyway.
Not liking the new New Customer deals lol.
Need to call them again to confirm disconnect and get a date though so hopefully they offer something decent then, if not then I'll just be using my phone for everything, as much as a pain it is but I do only need basic access for work. Will be saving money one way or another anyway:)Member of Scotwest Credit Union0 -
Best deal for broadband only? No need for a landline.
Virgin will give me 60 meg for 24.50. I need 60 as I download and stream lots. Anyone just on 60 meg broadband? If so, at what cost?0 -
Been with Virgin Media for 3 Years now, I'm currently paying £22.15 just for 30 meg BB. Contracts due to expire November so im gonna start my negotiations. Whats the best all round deal anyones got for £20 - £270

I was paying £16.50 for 20mbs with virgin and had been with then for over 8 years. Decided I wanted BT sports so moved to their BT infinity service and now get 38mbs and pay £15.00.. you do have to pay line rental which I had anyway and I think works out at about £11.15 a month if you pay in advance. I used Quidco for the change and got £55 reward and also got a voucher from Sainsbury for £100. Worth considering !0
