    Hello there,

Oops! That last email, 100Mb Broadband Announcement, was sent in error.

Please ignore this, and rest assured current Virgin Media Cable Broadband customers will be receiving some good news about their broadband in the next 2 weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Strangely the apology was sent half an hour before the one sent in error (or at least it arrived after it).

    There goes the big reveal!

Well, been about 2 months now and despite all the calls V.M are refusing to budge on offering us the VIP 50 unless an existing customer who got the deal backs it up... the best they will offer is a bump up to 30meg BB for a couple of quid extra p.m more along with the Tivo box so if anyone on here got the VIP 50 deal can you please help me out? :T
    cheers

are you calling them or are they calling you?

Inbound (people you call) cannot and will not match VIP 50 deal - the ONLY way to get it is outbound retention who call you after you put the disconnection through.
  • Got offered
    Tv -m
    Broadband 10mb
    Telehpone XL

    for ~£18 a month

to get this price they put a £8 rolling credit on the account that lasted 18 months and they put 12 months half price line rental

They told me to phone back after 12 months to get the half price line rental back, did that and now their saying they dont have that offer and cant do it. I am out of contract with my tv and broadband and have 6 months left on my line rental that will cost £22 to cancel. If they don't want to play ball should I cancel everything pay the £22 and see if they call my house within the month?

Just wish they would stick to what they say when they sign you up for the contract!

to be fair to them - they have had a new system around 6 months ago which stops them doing manually applied credits which is why they can't do it again.

    So it will only cost you £22 to payoff and cancel 6 months worth of line rental? I make it £35.40? (£13.90 x 6 = £83.40 - (6 x £8 = £48) - £35.40)

Im not sure if they charge the VAT, or if they do then i have already paid one month upfront so i would have to pay for the further 5 months.

Either way I was offered 20 pounds for 6 months by the first person i spoke to and I'm not able to take that offer up. I've got his email address but hes not replying.
