Is that during promotion period (2 years), or after? So that's £24.06, excellent deal. Nearly upgraded to 100mb for £10 more, but was afraid if I pay £10 more, the upgrade happens in Feb and 100mb users are not upgraded so paying £10 more!0

there is no promotion period and no new contract - its a rolling contract which will onyl change in price if line rental goes up - otherwise I will tay fixed on £86.46 for as long as I'm on it.
To be honest, the superhub really is as poor as everyone says - I get 48-49mb on the wired connection - and 14mb on wireless stood NEXT to the hub. Currently working with VM on that, but 100mb is only really worth it if you have a wired connection to use - otherwise it wont be any quicker than 50...0 -

Believe me theres no such thing as fixed for as long as your on it with virgin,I have it in writing mine was fixed at £37 for life a few years back its now over £50 a month,As for a rolling contract thats a new one on me i would ring back and confirm all that.

The discount may remain but they have been known to change the calculation so that price rises still affect you. The deals that people are offered are also not always shown on the contract (if incorporating goodwill payments in the calculation). That said, if it is in writing in the contract then you should have stronger grounds to be confident, rather than just their word on the phone.

VM BB L (10 MB) haggle - your thoughts
I have been with VM BBL only over 2 years, have been having ongoing problems with connection (throttle as well as constant disconnection about once a month lasting about an hour, capped to about 2MB during day time), wasted lots of time and money phoning the useless IT department (as it's nothing to do with my router but it's a local area faults)...
Anyway, I have been paying £21 a month, they only manage to lower it down to £17 a month, or upgrade to 20MB for £25.50, 30MB for £28.50 (the last 2 options have no difference to getting a new contract!)
No other compensation offered etc....
I have seen other posts saying someone manages to get 30MB + phoneline for £19.50 a month.... so should I cancel the contract and wish for the best? Or simply accept the £17 package?

for £25 plus the line rental of £13.90. So £38.90 in all.
Newbies get all this plus a free Tivo (act and install) for £23 + line rental - so why not me! Don't mind signing up to a new contract either.
Any ideas on the best I'll get from retentions?
