I'm currently getting broadband M, starter tv and phoneline with weekend calls for 34.50. Phoned up earlier to see what they could do. Not sure if i was speaking to the right team but was told the best they could do was probably the 3 for 30. Anyone had a better deal recently in a similar situation? Thanks

Edit: Phoned this morning and was offered the same package at £20 a month for aslong as I stay with the company.

I was on the £30 for 3 deal which included Large Tv, Large Broadband and Phone with unlimited calls to landlines. It just went up to £45.95 per month. I rang just now and was told the only way I could get cheaper was if I downgraded to Medium broadband and evening/weekend calls. It is now £34.45 per month. Is it worth ringing back another day and seeing if they will go any cheaper- say in a week or 2? How did so_very_uncool negotiate £20 deal?
  • Just had a very frustrating conversation, seems they are playing hardball at moment.
Complained that I'm paying £25.00 for L bb, to be told that is correct, all other prices are special offers only, and that end of 12 months they can put the price up to standard price. when suggested i would disconnect the repeated mantra was we have our standard packages and can only move customers onto different packages. Only offer made was to change to a slightly different package saving about £10. per month.
    had much better deals previously.

Well! I'm just off the phone with Virgin, and they offered to put the price of BB back to £10 for 12 months straight away! I also wanted a phone line, so I'm getting BB + phone line for £15.50 per month, which is the offer for new customers. She then told me there was an installation charge of £30 for the phone, but she waved it when I said I didn't want the phone if there was to be a fee.

Thanks to you guys for the advice on this thread! :T

    Currently have

    Telephone line rental £11.00
    Talk unlimited £7.95
Loyalty Pack BB / Phone / TVC Sky -£24.00
    TV Size XL £22.00
    V + Box £0.00
    Skymovie 2, Skymovie 1, Sports 1&2, Setanta £25.00
    BroadbandSize M £18.00

    Total £59.95 per month

Anyone think we can do better for the price we are paying (would like faster BB).

Make a complaint to OFCOM about Virgin charging you twice what they charge others for the same BB M service. ....for more information on this look back a few posts in this thread for my posts on this subject.

More information would have been helpful. I assume it was BB M (2Mb) which used to be £18 pm but the correct full standard rate today is £9 pm

So now the question is what other services do you have with them? If you only have BB then it's not a bad deal, if you have a phoneline @ £11 pm then the deal could have been better @ total 15.50 pm

    How does this sound....

    V+ box
    Second "standard" box
    XL tv
    Phone 24/7 unliited
    s BB
    Sky Sports

£58 after all the discounts - is this still a good deal seems to me it is?

Had this since the V+ box was launched about 20 odd months ago.

Was told yesterday that £34.50 was best possible package for BB,TV and phone. On their website today the exact same package is £30. Even though I agreed a price yessterday can I complain again?
