Normally 30 days after you cancel0 -
Bruno M - Before ringing research other providers. Each time I have rung I have had a very knowledgeable customer service advisor who knows the pitfalls of all the competitor's deals.
If you sound like you'll genuinely leave and know the deal you are getting from a competitor they will probably ring back. I suggest if you have rung them back to check they have your correct mobile then you've not been that convincing. If they won't lower £50 a month maybe its worth the hassle of switching.
There are some great cashback deals out there!0 -

Further to my earlier posts today I phoned VM to cancel my services. Spoke to quite an unfriendly operator who said I was not listening to her and bascially that I would be silly to cancel, she kept asking me why I wanted to cancel and I said because most of the deals are for new customers and does not seem to be anything for existing longstanding customers, also because of price increase. She said I would have to pay a fee as I had just started a new contract of £147.00 odd. I explained that in their terms and conditions it says if there is a price increase then no fee would be payable. She then said only if the increase is 10% more, and worked it out an said no would definitely have to pay the fee. I was so annoyed I just kept on repeating that yes I wanted to cancel and she reluctantly cancelled my services. She ended by saying I would not get a better deal if I was to phone up during my 30 day notice period. I said that was fine, so my services are to be taken away 11th April. Here's hoping for a call from outbound retentions.0

What can I expect to get the above for, from retentions!?0 -
How long does it take for retentions to give you a call - we cancelled on the 1st and havent heard anything.
I am starting to panic - we have L Broadband, XL TV and Talk anytime for £85 per month - we have free sport and movies but feel that we are being greatly overcharged for Broadband (£25.25 per month) when with this we could be having XL Broadband for that.0
