I am getting Virgin XL Broadband and XL TV. I have been a Virgin customer for 2 years. Is £43 a month a fair deal or could I do better?0
-
so do us, that are still in contract with virgin media have a right to phone them up and ask to leave since they uped the prices surely the contract is void now like what happened with orange some time ago.
we were paying around £50 for
Xl tv v+box
XL phone
L broadband
+1 aditional box
what do you think?0 -
My Virgin Media contract is up very soon so I called them up yesterday to ask if they would match an offer I recieved from sky in return for me signing up for a new contract. I told the guy in retentions what the offer was and he said (and I quote) "you should bite their hand off mate"
Great customer service right there :think:0 -

It's an excellent deal and competition like that should really shake up the market a bit I think.
This sounds GREAT!!!!!
This would make me definately consider getting rid of Virgin and get a freeview + box and also a O2 home phone and broadband.
I am currenly paying £39 a month for Bband L, phone XL & TV -M and also TV choice. I love the bbci player and also 40d but with the freeview plus box I can pre record everything in one go and watch when I am ready.
O2 is offering unlimited calls package along with free 0870 & 0845 numbers. I can't wait until I leave Virgin. I have been trying to get them to reduce their package but now I can just leave them and go with a company offering a great deal and I will be saving so much money.
I will use some of that saved money to buy a freeview+ box for the bedroom too.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

I just agreed to a 12 months renewal for an additional £3 discount per month and the free N router
I'm getting
L Broadband
XL Phone
M TV
Is this good?
For £23.49 a month.
This is a fantastic deal. I pay £32 for the same and an extra £7 for tv choice. I have called them on numerious occastions to reduce my package and they said that they could not offfer any cheaper. But now you are getting the price that I would have been happy to pay!!!
I am definately leaving them now. With O2 new deal I can pay just £12.50 a month and that is it!!!!! Just use a freeview + box and that is it. I must say I will need to get some Ben10 dvds for my son as he loves watching that. But I am sure I can find a friend with older children that have grown out of Bed10 that I get from them.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

Is that your phone cost or your BB cost as it's not both.
If you want both it's either £17pm or £20.50pm assuming you qualify for the O2 customer discount. If you're not an O2 mobile customer you'll need to add on another £5pm.0 -
Can someone please explain how the whole cancelling process works please. I basically want to cancel and then back out of it when they call to offer a sensible deal.0

You phone up and say you would like to cancel. They may offer you a deal then - if it's any good accept it. If not organise your cancellation date.
Then wait until they phone you and see how much they will give you as a discount if you don't leave.0 -
