After 3 phone calls this is what ive got from retentions in Teeside,
Talk unlimited
Tv XL package
B/Band 2mg
two V+Box
£40.00 a month plus a one off £75.00 for the extra V+box, on the first two phone calls they wanted another £75.00 for the V+box I have had for a year,or add an extra tenner on my bill.
Happy with the offer, I would of liked the second V+box for nothing, but I don't think it was ever going to happen? we'll never know.0 -
Current offer is £4.50 per month for the year - not sure if anyone has managed to get this as a retention offer?

pls explain .... £4.50Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
They would rather take £4.50 (half price) per month from a customer than lose them!
what do I say to them?
I could do with a faster BB speed as wellUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -

Tell retentions that you can get a better deal elsewhere but you won't get faster and cheaper! They would probably rather give you a faster speed, for the same money that you are paying now. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Is this an offer that only lasts for 3 months?I have Talk Weekends (M) £11
TV XL £20.50
Broadband XL £25.
Talk evening and weekends £3.45 (which I never asked for, they have just turned the M phone into a L phone - I'm complaining)
E BIll discount - £0.50
TV, BB & Phone bundle saving - £10.50
3 for £30 Bundle saving - £9
V+ box free as on XL TV.
Total bill £39.95. Hopefully get it to £36.50 if I can get the evening calls taken off.
However just had a letter saying the bill is going up £2.50 but the E Bill discount is increasing to £1.
Looking on the site the XL broadband is now £20 instead of £25. Has anyone else found this and will they reduce the bill? I just thought if they can try and put my price up, can I try and reduce my bill in the same way?0 -
Is this also for 3 months only? I've been trying to negotiate a deal and have been offered the same package for £41.75 for 3 months only.Sofar - I've got :-
TV XL (Standard Box)
BB XL
Phone Line Rental with free weekends and evenings
Total £40 per month
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could negotiate an additional TV Box (VM Plus?) - and what I might expect to pay?, sofar they offered an upgrade to my standard box for a one off payment of £75.
Thanks0 -
Arrgghhh - so fed up with all the confusion marketing! I've been with Virgin since 1996 (c&W, then ntl, then Virgin) and I am so fed up that all the offers are for new customers only. I am currently paying £18 for bb, £10.50 for line rental and cable box (broken for months), £9.50 for family pack and full price for calls (£15 - £60 per month). I was prepared to switch to BT and pay £4.50 a month for unlimited calls (not bothered about tv, but wouldn't mind a bit of cricket) but BT's system was down all day (do I really want these guys to supply my bb?) and then I read this thread and I'm more confused than ever!0
