    Thanks for the info.

No TV, I have asked previously and was told I would have to pay an installation fee. I also asked about them sending me the box for me to plug it in and turn it on. I was told only an engineer can do that.

I'll chase this up tomorrow sometime.

Will I have to go looking now for some comparisons to tell them where I'm thinking of going?

The main reason your bill is high is the 20meg BB which costs an arm and a leg.
I would move down to the 4 meg, as they are in the process of upping that to 10meg for free over the next few months area by area.
That is if you can manage with half speed. I doubt if you would notice the difference.

I pay £59 for the same except get 4megBB (L?), but as I said in my previous post this is going up to 10meg for free.
As a last resort, call retentions, however in the last couple of months Virgin have moved the heavies into their accounting system and are trying to cut down on the previous regimes handouts to keep customers made by NTL and Telewest..
Sky and Talk Talk are great to use in bargaining, however BT's put the spanner in the works by unfairly charging £120 to re-connect and holding you to a 12 month contract with them, whereas last year it was free and you only had to stay with BT for 3 months. I think you have to thank CPW for that. ;)

Plusnet said that they would reconnect me for £105 (if I took out a phone/broadband deal with them).

    I've been offered :
Broadband - L, up to 4mb soon to go up to 10mb
    Phone - Free Weekends
    TV - XL

    for £42.50

Doesn't seem too bad, as I pay £38 for all 3 at the most basic level at the moment.

Wondered if any one could advise me please? Am currently paying £55.75 with Virgin for XL TV with sports and Movies, 2meg Broadband, Phone line with caller ID. However the call charges every month usually add about £10 on top. Does anyone have any advice on getting a better deal than this, just phoned Virgin to ask about removing the movies, but they said it would only take £2.00 off the bill each month, so didn't seem worth it. They tried to sell me a call package for £7.95 but that didn't seem worth it either. Would be very grateful for any advice on either reducing costs, or getting more for the money! Thanks.
