I'll give it a try later, but I suspect that they've written the conversation on their system.
I'll update later.

Virgin are at it again! Back in November they removed an agreed deal without telling me and when I phoned to ask why I was told that I shouldn't have been offered the deal in the first place. So I told them where to stick their equipment. We arranged a disconnection date, but before it came to that date they phoned us and offered us a deal at £45.50. We accepted this and in December we were charged this amount. This morning I received January's bill only to be found our bill has gone up to £59 again without explanation. When I phoned them, I got the same story'I shouldn't have been offered the deal'. So now they are coming to collect their equipment on 28th February. Now to phone Sky.0

Offers for customers with 1 service: I work in retentions and nothing whatsoever has been mentioned about penalising customers who only have one service or the withdrawal of the ability to apply offers for these customers.
Lifetime offers: there were some offers that were originally sold as lifetime offers, these have now been amended and we now advise they are for 12 months minimum. If anyone was advised it was a lifetime offer (from March 07 onwards) it was done in good faith as that was the information we were given to start with.
Upgrade: 4 IS going to 10 meg from the end of Feb 08 onwards (no set dates yet) and 20 will be going to 50 but no dates have been announced yet for this upgrade.
There are no plans as yet to upgrade 2 to 4 meg although it hasn't been ruled out.0 -
Lestinch, if you work in retentions perhaps you can (honestly) tell me why I keep being given deals to stay only to have them removed later without notification? All I get told each time is that the person who arranged it for me shouldn't have! Surely there can't be that many people in retentions who don't know the rules? To me, it looks like shady practice dishonestly trying to keep customers.0

Have just reduced my bill again with them.Call retentions on
0845 4541111 or 150 (option 2, thinking of leaving) and they have powers to discount.
I was paying £64 (£25 Broadband, £20.50 XL tv, £18.50 phone), now reduced to £41.95, reduction of £22.05. It's for a new 12 month contract I had no intention of ending anyway. Just said how long I had been with them, happy with service, just too expensive. Then just do it every year for as long as you like.0 -

It looks like you've been given a discount that shouldn't have been used or possibly 2 offers that can't run together. We have a team that 'clean up' accounts so they've probably removed the offer or one of them.
You're best off ringing 150, follow the option you want to disconnect your services and speak to retentions. Advise them of the problems you've had and they'll look to see what you can have.
Hope this helps.0 -

This is what we were quoted. Problem is, the last time we accepted a deal it was from the department that dials out (apparently different to the department you phone through to on 150), and we had 2 different people phone us with the same deal. How can they both have got it wrong? Surely the training can't be that bad?
I'm not phoning 150 again as the woman I spoke to there was quite rude and told me the best she could do was £54.50. Even if they offered me a good deal to stay I wouldn't beleive them anymore. Quite frankly, I've got better things to do with my time than keep phoning 150 for non-existent deals. The equipment is coming out on 28th February and we're off to Sky.0
