After going to a cable modem in Feb I got double billed
Got is sorted refunds for the overpayments, goodwill payment and talk unlimited free for 3months and some bundle loyalty pack.
So now seem to have now the 3months is up,
2megBB,Talk unlimited(XL) talk mobile and talk international for £19.50
Any chance they would swap the phone to talk 200 without loosing the loyalty discount, we dont make enough calls to make the current package worth it but free 0845,0870 and international would be used.0 -
previously on phone eve&wkends broadband 4meg total cost £37, still in contract. just called, they offered phone unlimited and 20 meg for £40, happy with that deal as i was still tied in and couldnt 'threaten' to leave anyway.
good effort virgin:T0 -

I wonder how the projected sale of Virgin Media will effect all of the different deals struck by its customers (including me) over the past few months?0

I phoned Virgin & said I did no longer wanted their home phone (I use mobiles) & did not want any extra tv channels
I was offered : - £10 broadband + their free basic tv package + no phone line rental
When the phone-line was not disconnected, I was told that this offer was a mistake & their system had rejected a free tv package without a phone account. (The 2nd operator said 'what would be in it for us'. I had to agree, but said if I had to go & buy a £20 free-view box I could no longer buy Virgin's films)
So which operator is right?
Has anyone ever extracted a £9.99 deal from Virgin Broadband + free digital tv but with no line rental?
Even without the free tv, If you're OK only using PAYG mobiles & broadband phone. £10 for broadband, with no line rental to pay, is surely an unbeatable deal?

It is only a bid, and will depend how Branson's profile would be ammended or removed. His agreement to join NTL was based on his "new" broadcast ambitions and will now depend on how he views his battle with Murdoch is going. He could cut and run, but I doubt it.
Pricing will depend on who stays in charge as this seems to be a Venture Capital bid, however NTL was started that way so who knows.ac's lovechild0 -
What is that awful repetative jingle Virgin Media play?
After 1 hour 23 minutes on two calls (5 operators & 1 cut-off). The 6th operater asked me for my own post-code for the 6th time. I was distressed to find that Virgin's jingle had melted my brain to such an extent I had to read it out.
Surely there is human-rights legislation to prevent this sort of thing?
If anyone can gain access to a loud-speaker van, could I pay you to park outside Virgin's head office windows & play them their own call waiting jingle at full volume. I'm sure after an hour or two they'd stop inflicting this torture jingle on their customers.0 -

You are quite right it is just a bid, but having read the BBC Business report on it, it appears that Virgin Media will sell up to someone soon. THey have asked their investment bankers (Goldman Sachs) to conduct an auction of its business. Whether Carlyle, Providence or any other bidder wins, it will surely throw into question these individually arranged charges?0
