    Afternoon all,

have read the thread, but forgotten pretty much everything! But ((((((hugs))))) to all those needing them - of which there are many at the moment I know :( Aussie, the dress is lovely - and its' good to put a face to the name too :)
PenPin, yes absolutely ask for them to put it in a box to take home - I've done that at a local (expensive) Tapas restaurant & they were very happy to do so.

Having a few days where everything seems to be breaking or springing leaks..... makes me feel very stressed as it's the one thing I really struggle to cope with on my own. Luckily kitchen stuff is covered by guarantee as it was all only done in Feb, and little brother came to my rescue (to do a temporary weekend fix) this morning for something else. While he was here got him to put up the new curtain pole in my bedroom so I have now hung my bargain voile curtains from Dunelm. We painted the room Monday, and this Monday coming I have new carpet being fitted, so it will be starting to look lovely. Just need to get myself a couple of nice (cheap) wardrobes & bedside cabinets, to replace the wood/canvas wardrobe & mismatched bits of furniture... But it looks lovely - very different from the lavender cocoon that it was (although I did like that too).

Churchmouse - Yes it is, a chap called Don Aslett. i checked him out on Amazon and seems he is quite the writer. I'm glad you thought the books were alright, didn't want to have wasted 40p :)

Pen Pin - Go out for dinner, I have never found a restaurant that will not do a doggy bag (I am the same with a small appetite). However, I have been refused pudding before at an Indian restaurant after not eating all my dinner

Well, I made Weetabix brownies and sausage and mash for dinner. Nom Nom Nom.

Oh, and when I moved in, I bought myself a houseplant to make it look homely (despite knowing I would kill it within a week). Two months later, not only is it thriving...it has a little baby plant growing!!!! I'm so proud :D

    Evening peeps!

Aussie - your dress looks really nice, i too wondered about opening the photo cos i`ve seen some of the funny ones you post and expected another one:D

SnowyOwl - Thanks for the wishes for the houndies paw.

I took the monsters for a walk in a welcome break from the rain but unfortunately the paw started to bleed again, i nipped to the chemist and bought some of that new spray on elastoplast to see if it would be ok on it - it was nearly £7:eek: . Wish i hadn`t bothered now as she was very good when i recleaned the paw but as soon as i started spraying the elastoplast she turned into the tazmanian devil. Crikey it was a right carry on, she wasn`t scared of it or anything like that but she thought it was a kind of new thing to play with and went crazy:D :D it was soo funny but i think unless i have a doggy sized straight jacket i won`t be trying that again, she`s only a baby but is huge, she`s now relaxing in a chair covered in an old towel as a treat as she`s a poorly mad baby.
Heres a pic, not sure if it will work or not though cos i`ve never done this before:o

Blairweech, it was me that asked about the book;) Yep Don Aslett, as soon as I read the name I remembered it. That sounds really stupid and obvious, but you know what I mean:o :rotfl: Haven't read the other one, but 40p? bargain of the month:D And I know just what you mean about houseplants:o But DS4 bought me a gerbera in an enamel bucket for Mothering Sunday, and it's still alive and throwing up new blooms:T That's unheard of with me:o

Well done Snowy on getting your outfit. Sounds like a good shop, and she obviously picked out good stuff for you to try. I hate clothes shopping but that sounds brilliant:D

Can't believe I picked the winner of the Ladies final, and then I backed Laura Robson and she still won:D Dare I support Nadal tomorrow?

Have a good evening. ( I've posted so much today, feels like I'm substituting for mioliere;) )
