A late good morning from me.....
I had such a good sleep last night (apart from a minor interruption when the cat knocked the lamp off at 4.00am - neither cat or lamp broken I'm happy to report!!!!)
Anyway - it's cup of tea o'clock and I'm planning a lazy day with some tennis (Wimbledon - not me personally!!!) and the tour de France if I can find it anywhere on UK freeview TV! I've been there for it for the last 8 yrs (in France, not actually at it apart fromodd stages) and I'm getting withdrawl symptoms for men in tight shorts!!
I am in awe of the people who manage to remember the details of who needs hugs, happy birthdays, welcomes etc, and report in with them by name - I'm so bad with names in real life too! So I'm afraid another cop out and hugs to all in need, and happy birthdays and anniversaries too.
Metherer has stuck in my mind today with diabetes - hugs to you, and good luck with it - OH has type 1 so is insulin dependant, but I know with type 2 there's a lot you can do with diet....and diabetic chocolate is SOOOOOO nice!! Thinking of you anyway, as I guess to begin with it's all a bit of a minefield. The British Diabetic Association Website is really good.
Anyway - enjoy your Saturday wherever you are and whatever you're doing. It's still sunny here, but I believe from the forecast that the only way is down, so I'd better make the most of it!

Morning all,
Not sure what I am doing today, was asked to go into work at really late notice so said no. Over the weekend I want to go out and do a bit of shopping (need new trainers), and I also want to do some Ebay listings and tidy the sty. Probably will go out today as the shops I want to go to aren't open tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
im afraid i havnt read any of the thread for a few days now, so i hope everyone is well - love and hugs to anyone who wants/needs some xxxxx
 Catowen --- hope you have a lovely day out
I haven't been on the daily thread for a-g-e-s ..... seems to be lots of new people  but a fair few missing - so helloooooo to everyone.
Horrible day here and forecast worse for tomorrow - shame because there are fete's galore this weekend on both days. makes me so sad when people put in such a lot of effort and it all gets rained off. We go anyway, but lots of folk don't and the atmosphere isn't quite the same when you've got rain dripping off your sun bonnet and making your ice cream watery.
Done well this morning so far. Am off for a walk around our small town now (love the Saturday morning relaxed feel)People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Awww thanks so much. You are all so NICE.
I'm come to the conclusion I could have dressed in a potato sack and you all would have said it was lovely.
Just finished tea & done the dishes. Absolutely nothing on telly tonight, unless you like football. Once upon a time they would put on a good movie on a Saturday night. I suppose we could watch Walk the Line again.
mummysaver Glad you didn't have any complications & back to normal today.
lyndsayanne Well done to your DD. :T
ruby I know it's a bit late this time & I"m not sure about how well they grow over there but I always grow a few aloe vera plants in the garden. They are unkillableand are better & cheaper than any cream. Just break off a stem and smear on to sunburn bits.
Well off to have a bit of a surf. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all
Aussie - Lovely dress
Hugs to all in need today.....I've read the thread and my minds gone blank...typical.
Got a stonking great headache today - I'll blame the weather - was lashing down with rain at 7am but now it's blue skies and breezy.
Had to take DD2 to the walk in clinic this morning with breathing problems, she's had a nasty cold for the past 10 days and it's just not clearing - got some antibiotics and an order from the ward sister to keep her off school and in bed until she's better! That told me!!! - The school have already sent a snotty letter this year about the amount of time she's had off poorly but she's just one of these kids that picks up every bug going....I was the same at her age and it just can't be helped. She's now tucked up in bed with hot juice and a dvd on.
Got wine to bottle this afternoon and need to sort out my carrots, all my other veg is coming on so quick - my friend laughed yesterday when she saw all my "make do" pots - fizzy drinks and plastic milk bottles cut to size - but it's working and didn't cost me a penny
Hope you all have a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hello all!
How typical for the weather to change now its the weekend ! Boot fair tomorrow at the local school and if it keeps on raining I can see that being cancelled - again ! They've had no luck with the weather this year.
Still, not being able to go out it gave me the chance to clear my desk a bit and catch up with paperwork that needed responding to/filing etc. No excuse for not doing it earlier..........just didn't feel motivated.
Well its done now..........both the boys off out for the rest of the day (when they eventually get around to leaving the house !) so hopefully in for a peaceful day.
Have a good day and hugs (((((((((:o ))))))))) to all who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Annie, the directions we got are a bit vague.....from the docks, you go up the hill and when you get to the lights turn left....might not be the first set....it's at a school. Just checked, Mum's not online yet, she might remember a bit more.
I got the impression that it's close to the shops. I'll have a google and see if I can find out more, it's on the first Saturday of the month.
Sorry, St Mary's church hall, Cop Lane, Penwortham.
