Afternoon peeps,
i`ve not managed to read the thread yet so i`ll catch up with everyone later.
It`s been a busy day so far and i have only just sat down for my verrrry late breakfast:o
I`ve been on a mammoth clean which unsurprisingly has taken ages but the downstairs is now looking almost back to normal, the only thing that i haven`t done is shampoo the rug in the lounge but that will keep for another day.
The weather here has been terrible, the rain has been so heavy it was scary and the thunderstorms were something else-i say were as i hope we`ve seen the last of them for a while, the sun has now decided to break through and if it stays like this i`ll venture out with the the houndies.
They didn`t have their morning walk today as the younger one has a very deep cut in her paw, she cut it last night in the park and the only reason we knew about it is because she was leaving big bloody footprints along the footpath on the way home, i`ve bathed it and dressed it but last night she got the bandage off and this morning she sneaked on the bed when DH had gone to w*rk and bled through the quilt and all the bedding so i`ve done lots of washing and i`m ashamed to say that the dryer is now on or we`ll have no quilt on the bed tonight - aw well i hardly ever use it but it`s a life saver today. The offending paw is cleaned and dressed once again, this time with a huge piece of elastoplast around it so hopefully this will be a lot harder for her to get off, i don`t much fancy taking it off myself tomorrow but the cut needs holding together or it won`t heal up.
Right, the sun is still out so i`m off for a short walk with them, think the poorly paw will need a plastic bag on it to keep out the water so she will look cute and all the little ones in the park will want to cuddle her.
Catch up later.

Good afternoon chums ,just thought I'd stick my head around the door and say I'm back from my hols and had a smashing time with my pal.We wandered hither and thither around the lanes of North Norfolk (Fakenham market was really nice )and I am now galloping around trying to get a weeks washing done, and make a birhtday card for my youngest DGD as she is 15 tomorrow .Tonight I'm going round to see my youngest DD and her tribe and having dinner there so I haven't got to cook, and tomorrow we are having a family party at my eldest DD's to celebrate her last birthday (40) last December .Her DD's 15 tommorow, and me getting through all the stuff in the last year so its going to be a treble celebration.I hope 'normal service' will be resumed by Monday morning To all of you I hope you have a great week-end and to those in need a <<big hug>>
Love to you all

Oh gingerkirsty, what a shame. Where did you leave it? Have you phoned to see if it's been handed in? You might be lucky, I have been, on occasion. You are not dumb, we've all done that type of thing. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

We all have days like thisIME. the supermarkets have a book where they note down what's been left behind - they have a book - you won't be the first
If you phone, or return with your receipt, they'll be able to verify it was you, and let you have it back.
I'll add your post to today's Daily Thread where we all talk about the ups and downs of our Old Style day. You'll get a warm welcome, plenty of sympathy, and maybe a slice of HM cake or a hobnob

Oh Blairweech, you did make me laugh when you mentioned your two books! I've got tons of cookery books, and Kim & Aggie's books, plus interior design books, and books all about storage, and I still live in a dump and can't cook anything vaguely adventurous. They sit beside my atlas - I never go anywhere either.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Like Churchie I have a friend who is always immaculately groomed and her house is always very clean and tidy so when she occasionally pops round unannounced I am absolutely mortified. It looks really silly as I have given her very sound advice on how to clean certain items and about using vinegar etc etc etc - so she can't understand how I know all this stuff but don't put it into practice.
Welcome back JackieO, glad you enjoyed your holiday. It sounds like you're going to be busy for the next few days as well - enjoy all the family and all the pampering.
I'm steeling myself for a visit to the shops. I can't put off looking for a wedding outfit any longer. Unfortunately there's nothing in my wardrobe that would do (or rather that would do and which also still fits:o). My tolerance level in clothes shops is about an hour, so I'll be back quite soon I should imagine.
SunnyDay, I hope your wee doggie's paw heals up quickly.
OK, going to dash now, I've been malingering too long.
Big hugs to everyone else.
Bye

GingerKirsty, go back to the supermarket asap with your receipt and tell them that you left the bag containing all the frozen stuff behind.
FWW when I w*rked in Sainsbury's if frozen stuff was left behind at the till it was put back straight into the fridges/freezers to avoid it spoiling. However customer services can check with the cashier in question that a bag of chilled/frozen was left and you won't have any trouble. You won't have been the first to have done something like this, so don't worry.0 -
I use to work for Sainsburys, when a customer left their shopping by mistake we put it in the chiller/freezer depending what it was. Give them a call.

Ginger-Phone up the supermarket-they have probably had it handed in. Hugs and keep your chin up.
Ive just had a phone call from a very good friend and has asked if OH & I would like to go out for an Indian with them this evening. I dont know what to do....it would be lovely to see them and go out for a change, but I cant eat much! Would the restaurant let me take home what I dont eat? It does do take-away as well, but its quite a posh one and dont want to look like a chav IYKWIM:D She has even sorted childcare;)....not sure what to do though.
Washing is blowing on the line outside. OH has cut up bananas for the freezer that needed using for smoothies and the shopping has been delivered. 2 problems with the shop, but Tesco are normally pretty good. OH has also done some gardening and DD has washed the car...for a fee of course:D
Had 2 lots of Nicky Clarke Hair straightners delivered today from John Lewis. It was on Hotdeals yesterday and they were reduced from £25 to £5.50 inc delivery;) ...I thought they would be perfect for Xmas/birthday pressies and are in proper boxes with handles...look very posh. Excellent deal!
Anyway, am going to have a cuppa now.
Jackie0-Glad you had a nice holiday.
