    Morning everyone

n9eav glad to hear everything went well yesterday.
metherer once the shock wears off you will find that you are able to manage your diabetes. Sensible eating is the key (says she who ate very little in the way of sensible last night - a la Snowy. :o ) ((hugs))
catowen enjoy your day with your son.
jannyannie sorry to hear of your MIL's troubles. ((hugs)) to you and yours.
kyle looks like you have a very long day ahead. Hope you can grab a "power nap" later. A 15-minute nap can make all the difference for me.
Aussie I was almost scared to open your photo but the dress is lovely! Wish I could sew something as nice as that. (In sewing lessons at high school, I wasn't allowed to use the sewing machine and was banished to the stock room to count buttons, ribbons, etc. :o )
soba hope it stays dry for the school carnival.
(((hugs))) to those who need them. You know who you are. ;)

DS has made plans to go out with his friends today and I don't know how DD is yet as she is still in bed - no v or d through the night which is a good sign. So, I have no idea what DD and I will be doing. We will have to get uniforms, pe kits, shoes, etc organised for Monday today though as we are out all day tomorrow.

My DSis and her family are holidaying in Derbyshire and want to meet up with us tomorrow. So we are all going to Eureka! in Halifax tomorrow.

Made a stir-fry for DS and I last night and there is enough leftover for lunch today. :j Have some more chicken in the fridge so will make a sweet & sour for DS as he hasn't had that in such a long time.

Washing is up to date thankfully, as its forecast to tip it down all day. Got quite a few jobs done yesterday with my unexpected day off so not much needs doing now. Definitely need to get the BM on though.

Well, I feel the need for tea so bye for now. Have a sunny Saturday. xx

    Morning,

Aussie, your dress looks great, you will be glad of it when the better weather returns. "Walk the Line" is that what you call it in OZ :p
Catowen, I hope your DD enjoys her day and that you and your sone have a great time also....your sig looks fab with the voucher on it :T So pleased the new ones are settling in well.
Metherer, sorry to hear about your diabetes, although with a few changes you'll soon get it under control.
N9eav, enjoy the rest at work.
Jannie, I hope MIL is ok, you must feel like the world is against you. ((hugs))
PP, Miss Twit broke up yesterday (we are in Lancashire) I'll send her round if you want a teenager under your feet.

I hope Mioliere and Stefejb enjoy their breaks....bet this thread will be shorter with no Mioliering :rotfl:
Miss Twit and a couple of friends are planning on going to Manchester today and there is some band on at The Academy that they want to see. Our Innocence Lost  or something like that. They will go on the train, but I think I'm going to pick them up to make sure they get home in one piece :A
I think there is a farmer's market on at Penwortham, so I'll see if Mum fancies a visit.
Mr Twit left one of his batteries and the charger on site yesterday, so he's gone off to see if the site is open and if it's still there (whatatwit).

Hugs to those in need. PenPin, Candy, Beth, Jay, Snowy (crisps and wine).

Love to all The Twit :grouphug:

    Morning Everyone

It looks rather depressing outside so I'm hoping to get lots of indoor jobs done this weekend. My house is definately in need of some tlc. First though I'm going to brave Mr T's with dd in tow.

I'm also hoping that I can pursade dh to come tile shopping with me at some point as we need to get some chosen for the kitchen so I can start the tiling on days like today.

    Have a good day everyone

Whatatwit, you must be fairly close to me then? DS and DD go to school in Penwortham - though they don't break up for another couple of weeks.

    Morning all,

Not raining here but looks like it might later, got OH work stuff in the machine, I did all the rest yesterday, so will get that out, have a quick tidy round, then I have the day free,

DD's sunburn was a bit better last night, but she was having to walk funny, as the skin over her knees was swollen and tight, will see how she is today, she is supposed to be seeing her dad, but will see how she is first.

OH and I are going to go out driving and walking, he has not passed his test yet, but his dad has given him a van, which he has insured for a month, so with me sitting next to him, he can drive, so he is going to get a lot of pratice in over the next month before his test.

N9eav, I would love the recipies for the beans and the lime pie please :D

Aussie, I was pleasantly suprised by your dress, you made it sound awful, but it looks really nice xx

essex girl I only have one needle too, and can just about sew a button on with it, my oh does any mending required. ;)

Kyle, hope lo feels better soon x

metherer hugs to you, my mum was diagnosed with diabetes a week or so ago, it will all make sense in the end xx

Hugs to smoky, pen pin, anniestar and anyone in need xx

I hope kathy is having a good time at the hen weekend x

Janny hope your ma in law is ok xx

I need to get a french loaf today as we are having YS steak sandwiches for tea, might go and see if next door has any corgettes, she has gone away and I am watering for her, and am allowed to help myself to the veggies :T

    Have good days all xx

Havent posted in a while but have been lurking away :o

Aussie - The dress is lovely - I wish I could sew but I just cant! I do now manage to do little stiches to keep hems on trousers up. Before I used to give them to a charity shop :o So ashamed now!!

Got to wait in today ALL day for someone to come out and swap our electric meter over from a very annoying preprepayment meter which I nearly always forget to top up to a pay as normal on a DD. They helpfully narrowed the time down to 8am to 6pm. Don't really mind staying in - it saves petrol (i have got obsessed - everythings seems to be going up - v.scary) and have got lots of jobs to do.

    Have a good day all

    xx

    Morning Guys!

Aussie-That dress looks fine! I love your kitchen BTW.

Thanks for all the lovely comments yesterday.

I am feeling a bit better today and the anti-sick jab really helped. Having another one this morning when the nurse comes. I would just like to say thanks for all the support over the past couple of years. You have all been amazing and really helped me keep my spirits up. It has been really difficult for me to adjust and come to terms with my illnesses and realising that they are lifelong and my health wont improve much. Thank you for listening to me most days!

I've had 2 letters this morning. One is from Direct Payments stating that they have increased my hourly rate each week, which means I can get some extra help to make OH's life a little more easier. The other letter was from Kings stating that I am now Hypoglycemic and need a Glucose testing machine that my GP will give me on perscription and have to now monitor this daily too. Apparently my sugal levels are very low on fasting and non-fasting blood tests:confused: ....I will have to look into this as I dont know much about it. They have said this was possible a few months ago but they have now confirmed and diagnosed......more needles:eek:

DD went for her interview yesterday which was very positive and she is doing so well and we are both very proud of her. She was awarded last week with a VIP invitation to an Arts event next week and only 2 tickets are given out each year. She was really chuffed! She does have to work harder with her science. Does anyone know which books would be best to get her to do some extra hours at home? I have one upstairs that we bought last year but dont have the energy to go up and look but its a A4 size and was £20.

We managed to see Hanc*ck yesterday and I must say that its the best film I have seen in a long time! I thought it was going to be rubbish and wanted to see the new Narnia film but was out-voted by OH & DD:rolleyes: OH also booked up for me to have a wash, cut and blowdry...so that was a nice treat and only took 20 mins as I dont have much hair atm:D

Just about to put the DW and WM on. House is clean and tidy. I also need a shower but OH is out ATM so will wait till he comes home.

We are away on hols in 2 weeks, so need to get lists ready for what we need. Im getting very nervous about telling Mum about my illnesses but know she needs to know.

Anyway, I am rambling! Everyone have a great weekend and hope you are all ok and keeping well.

    Hugs to all.

    PP

Yep, we are in Blackpool, have you ever been to the Farmer's market? Some people we met told us about it. Mr Twit is working at Newman College at the moment.
