    Afternoon all

Bright and windy here, have had to hang a couple of things back on the line that tried to escape in the breeze ;)

DH has plumbed in the chilled water/ice part of our new fridge freezer. Ice is brill but water isn't that cold. Maybe it takes a time to sort it out but ice cubes are made so would think water should be cool enough by now:confused:

Have made some muffins which are in the freezer ready to take in to work next week to celebrate new DGC who, hopefully will arrive by c-section on Wednesday. Been shopping and popped in M&S and so have their £10 deal in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner - roast chicken, new pots, etc etc with profiteroles for afters mmmmmmmmmmmm. Can't wait.

I wish Serena and Venus would grunt and scream so much, they're giving me a headache, might have to turn sound off but I like to hear John McEnroe's commentary, cos I think he has an 'English' sense of humour.

Have a good day everyone - ta ta

Good afternoon, all. I've just been trying to get my motivation up to not go spending. My meals are all planned out, and I'm wanting to do more stuff in a money-saving way, but there's not much else I can do. I need to give myself a money-saving kick up the wotsit.

Anyway it's a lovely day here, and I've been trying to get motivated to do the cleaning. Both the bathroom and kitchen are in need of a clean, and while I've tidied the kitchen, I could do more. I just feel so tired today though. Still, on the plus side I managed to NOT to spend anything when going around a local discount outlet! I feel so happy. :D

    ((*hugs to all*))

    Afternoon everyone

Feeling most odd. My lower joints in my lower half are aching like mad and my stomach is definately off. I went to the supermarket this morning with dd which was not fun as the little madam did a runner on me. One minute she was by the trolley the next gone. Turns out she was hiding behind a metal cage full of cardboard boxes. My heart was in my mouth for the few minutes she was gone.

DH has taken her to the barber with him this afternoon and she has been warned that anymore antics like that and she will be back on reins. while there out I'm having a slob out on the couch with my new Grow your Own mag that I treated myself to this morning.

    Have a good afternoon everyone

    Hello All

Well got another batch of raspberries in this morning and cooked a banana bread. Also got some raspberry vodka on the go.

Done some surveys and my daily clicks for today, now I'm just nosing on job sites - mainly American ones! Some day I will get there.

Also looking for a cheap and cheerful trip to EuroDisney to surprise Mum with. Not having much luck at the moment though.

Found out this week that my friend's pregnant so will be knitting some baby things for her.

Ordered another Christmas present earlier so that's another one down.

Dinner will probably be scrambled goose egg and bacon.

    Hope everyone's ok

KaatLady, 'fraid I can't see any of your pictures...

Been to the shops, got an outfit for the wedding!! Woo hoo, I hate shopping with a vengance but the lady in the one shop I went to whizzed round and picked out about 10 possible outfits, bunged them in the changing room and left me to it.
I even bought an extra top which will be useful for when I am wo*king again. Don't ask how much it cost. Oh alright then do ask. It was a total of £130. It made my eyes water, but being an "unusual" (ie super large) size the cheap and cheerful shops tend not to do anything suitable. I'll jazz it up with some cheapo jewellery though, and I've already got some strappy mules which will go perfectly.

Aussie, I know you weren't exactly thrilled with your dress, but you are v.blessed to have the figure you have and the dress does look lovely on you. It's perhaps just not to your taste, but it looks fab. And Scuzz, I'm quite jealous of your knitting talent - I did learn when I was a lot younger but never had the patience to finish anything.

The day has done a big U turn from horrible and wet to beautifully sunny. Unfortunately this means that Mr Bloke from next door is out in his back garden swinging his hammer. I do wish he would go away as I want to go out and do some pottering. It loses its appeal when it's not peaceful. Maybe I should do some cleaning, as inspired by our Sunnyday above?? Radical!

GingerKirsty, have you had any luck in getting your missing shopping back?

    bye for now,

    Snowy

    Hi all
Sorry Kaat, I have no idea what to do with your squashes, I hope someone can help.
Thanks for all the kind comments & suggestions yesterday about my maths & english assessments, hopefully I'll do better next time.
PP, I hope you feel well enough to go out, I'm sure they'll let you bring a bag home if you explaine the situation.
Lovely to hear from you JackieO, glad you had a good time.
    Hugs Hester

  • Would the restaurant let me take home what I dont eat? It does do take-away as well, but its quite a posh one and dont want to look like a chav IYKWIM:D She has even sorted childcare;)....not sure what to do though.

PP - most definitely they will! It is EXPECTED! I even ask for my leftover meat in restaurants to be wrapped up for my dogs - you just have to do it with aplomb! :D
Just tell them it was so delicious and you simply must take the rest home with you.

    Sparkly
