    I've recently paid £30.00 to subscribe to a competition magazine for six months (still awaiting first issue) but I wish I hadn't bothered as it seems all the info I need is on this forum!

    Hi Claire, welcome to the Comping part of the MSE forums, I guess my first tip would be to have a browse through the first few posts of this thread as they are the frequently asked questions & answers for comping :) You should pick up a lot of tips from your reading & if you have any specific questions then the best place to ask them is in the Discussion thread which is always on page 1 of the Comping forum as it is a 'sticky' thread - this makes it easier for everyone to find :)
