Hi Panda
I took my husband to London for his birthday in January and we used Clubcard vouchers for quite a lot of stuff as I planned in advance.
The Original Bus Tour ticket is valid for 24 hours from when you purchase it and includes a free trip on the City Cruises. The Bus Tour is good but as you can imagine the traffic is quite bad so we got stuck a few times but it was a break from all the walking we did sightseeing. There was no commentary on the cruise despite what I read on their website but it was a nice day so we enjoyed the trip and got to walk around Greenwich when there was a 20 minute stop. You can hop on and off both the bus and the cruise.
We also used Clubcard vouchers for:
Ortega - Spanish Tapas restaurant - Near Barbican/Smithfield Market in City Area (really enjoyed this)
Yates - pub grub. In Leicester Square (do a great breakfast)
Chez Gerard - French restaurant - We went to the one in Covent Garden (bit snobby)
We were meant to go to the Tower Bridge Exhibition but ran out of time so I sent my vouchers back to the Tesco Clubcard address and they refunded my points.
I bought tickets online for the London Eye and we really enjoyed that. There is no commentary so if you don't buy the guide for £3 you don't really know what you're looking at. The trip lasts 45 minutes.
I bought a theatre and evening meal deal online (think it was www.lastminute.com or www.keithprowse.com). The meal was at Bertorellis but the 'theatre menu' was poor and we would have been better finding somewhere else to eat. We went to see Blood Brothers and really enjoyed it.
We bought £15 Oyster Cards online and before we came home I cashed them in at Euston Station (just after you walk through the tube barriers there is a kiosk on the right). We got about £3 each back so not bad for 3 days use.
I'm going back again in September with my friend for her birthday and can't wait. London is fantastic !!! :j
Hope you have a great time.

The London Eye is fab. It goes around so slowly that you can't even feel it move.
Honestly it's not scary at all. I won't go on any rides and I am happy on it.
My friend is a scardy cat. We went on the one in Manchester and it goes a lot faster (I got her on before she could change her mind). She screamed all the way around and it went round 3 times. :rotfl: The one in London is very tranquil and you only go round once.
Go for it !!!!!!!!!!

Hi
I've just ordered an oyster card. I couldn't find a way to order three more for friends I'm travelling with. Can it be done without creating three more accounts?Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
If you go into the subforum here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=70
and put in oyster to the "search this forum" you'll find lots of threads about the card.
Panda, as Rachel says I think you'd be okay, says me who hasn't done it, but my friend did the Eye recently with her Mum who really wasn't wanting to do it and especially when she saw the height of it but loved it once she was on0 -

I had to open an account each for me and hubby. Try the help on the www.tfl.gov.uk website.

I got cheaper tickets for duck from late deals, & have ordered club card vouchers for bus tour.
